Fort scrimmaged West M they are worst team in the MVL. Don't downgrade Belpre if you don't know nothing about them they have 2 guards that in my opinion are better then most in PVC in Plummer and Dejon Bedgood.

Must of had an off night don't know much about South Gailia. Wouldn't take much stock in Fort Frye by the opener.Belpre has 2 really good young guards.

Caldwell bounced back with a nice 65-60 win over Frontier. Cougars made 14 three point shots to come back from almost 20 down an make it very interesting. Caldwell gets cannon an Riski back Friday, Harding back next week sometime an Clark around Christmas.

Frontier beats River by 20, St. Johns beats Caldwell in overtime. River turns around and blows out St. Johns, Caldwell beats Frontier and led by 20 in the first half. Caldwell is playing without it's two best players in Clark and Harding, along with 6th man Cannon and back up guard Riski right now. They will start getting those guys back soon. St. Johns has the big transfer kid from Donahue who is really good, he had 38 against Caldwell, they tried to guard him one on one for most of the game. My buddy scouted River last night, said they triple teamed him all night, he still had like 25 points but nobody else could do anything. Caldwell also shot like 25% against St. Johns zone, they are playing one guard and everyone else is a post player. River didn't let one guy beat them apparently. Last night against Frontier, Caldwell got up huge because Frontier tried to play man against them. Frontier went to a zone and came all the way back. Caldwell hit a few buckets in the fourth and Frontier for some reason went back to man and it cost them the game. Caldwell only has one real shooter on the floor right now so zone defenses give them fits. That will change as these kids come back from being out.

Looks like it will be a 2 team race between MC and FF. The Fort has a slight edge on the team play side but I give the edge to MC for having more athletes. The teams should both win at home and was hoping either Frontier or Caldwell could upset FF , but I don't see that happening after watching them both play the other night.

How was that popcorn PVC man? You watched a team knock down like 14 threes and lose against a team missing it's two best players and two other role players. I hope you don't bet on sports based on your comments from football season and your insight in the early season for basketball, if you do your mom better get your old room ready haha.

I think Clark and Baker are Caldwells best players. Harding would be 3 but he is so one dimensional.

Although I think Fort Frye and Monroe Central are the top two teams and a step above Frontier and Caldwell, neither of them are as good as last year IMO. Trail and the Zeps are struggling.

Lang was most important player last year and I don't think he is replaceable. I'll see what Monroe Central looks like tonight, but I don't think they are as well rounded as they were last year. Maybe Caldwell gets it together, maybe Frontier shows it can win consistently, I just don't see it. They are all good teams, just not great teams.

Ultimately I think it plays out similarly to last year in the standings with none of them going very far come tournament.

River didn't let St John's get the ball up the floor, that's how they beat St John's. It is hard to imagine those four games playing out like that though I agree.

Lang was a great player but the 3 players of Anderson, Legraen, and Kiefer have all improved so much. By the end of the season this years team will be better and deeper.
