Cadets over Trail tonight 64-35.

Trail started one senior, and four sophomores.

Legraen led the way with 21 points, and was 15-17 from the line. Anderson had 12, and Kiefer had 9.

Cadet JV's also won by 20 or so.

MC jumped on River early with some open 3's 11-0 and lead 27-18 at the half. It got as bad as 36-20 before River made a run. Seemed River would carry the momentum into the 4th but Jorris banked in a 30 footer at the buzzer to make it 44-34 at the end of 3.

All River from there as MC scored 5 points in 7:59 plus a 3 at the buzzer that meant nothing.

Isaly and Caretti each had 18 and the game turned when Brown picked up his 4th foul. They really couldn't defend the River guards after that and River played much better D the second half.

As I said, MC isn't as good as last year. Jorris kept them in it, but they did not shoot the ball well overall. Brown isn't the scorer Duffy was, and Morton isn't Kuhn. It's always a great game with these two schools it seems. River is a much improved team and is still fairly young. I wasn't sure River would win this game but I'm not surprised they did.

One thing that helps the Cadets win this league every yr is the fact that they always play the toughest schedule. I think Caldwell is finally getting it.

Not a good night for the league Fort Frye gets dumped by 16 @ Warren. Caldwell gets beat 51-44 by Buckeye Trail a team that Fort Frye beat by 31. Monroe Central barely beats Shenandoah 57-51.

Caldwell was embarrassing last night, they looked like they could care less to be playing basketball. Trail played really hard and Caldwell pretty much didn't try. I listened to the game being called by the radio guys from 104.9 while I was in the gym, normally I can't stand those guys but they were exactly right, there was no try out there at all. They screwed around and still somehow led until the last few minutes of the game. They kept throwing up three point attempt after three point attempt, not sure if they even made a single one. They were jogging up and down the floor with very few exceptions. at least half of the kids Trail played also played in the JV game that Caldwell won. Harding is back Saturday and Clark is back Monday. They have no leadership on the court, those guys are role players but they can't be the guy at all. The only one I give a pass to was Baker who was out sick and still tried to play some off the bench in spite of it. I've watched a lot of basketball but I've never seen a team not try like that ever.

Was Shenandoah just tired from the close game the night before vs MC?

Pretty much agree with everything redskinwitness said above. Complete lack of effort combined with a terrible shooting night. Yet, somehow still managed to be in a position to win that game. Somebody has to light a fire under them. Coaching can only do so much, these kids have to find that fire within themselves, or a leader has to step up from within the group and get everyone going. Interested to see how they'll look once everyone is finally back.

Cadets beat the zeps tonight, score 53-31 I think Anderson led scoring for FF with twenty-some

Seth threw two down, and got hammered on both.

Cadet JVs won by 3 or 4.
