October 25th 2002 in a game wellston had pretty much in hand, VC's sophomore tailback had a breakaway down the rockets sideline. A player whom I won't name (one of the best in wellston history) stepped from the sideline and closelined the VC ball carrier, resulting in a fumble. No flags. Wellston ball. I'm not overly dissatisfied with the reffing on the football field though. Its bad at a lot of places. The main reason wellston gets a bad wrap as a whole is because of what takes place in the gym. I won't go there though.

As for the game. Both teams have talented players and I expect it to be a great ball game. Both teams are coming off big losses. This will come down to coaching. Which team forgets the previous week, which one is more prepared? We'll find out in 24 hours.

Rockets will win. Wellston and Bucks have built up a good rivalry. We don't need to put each other down. We are lucky to be in the league that we are in and be conference rivals. I hope tomorrow's game is injury free.

yea just like the buckeye kids throw stuff at away fans too. And I must say NY gets there fair share of calls too. It happens every you go. As a wellston fan I think NY is the worst place to watch a game to each there own just tired of the bad rep Wellston gets when they on most occasions are on the short end of the stick at home when it comes to flags. As for the close line against VC I remember that... that young man deserved to be done for awhile.

Wellston is perfectly capable of beating their opposition. However, they are even better at defeating themselves. Unforced errors is the name of the game for Wellston football and it is a shame. Hopefully they can rebound and have a winning season.

A very nice win for the Spartans. The kids are battling much better this year and playing together. Wellston had some nice athletes, but the Spartans played very tough tonight.
