Logan Elm is above average, but they are not the level of the five teams below them.

When does the Generals and the Scotties play each other? That will be a dandy.

Logan Elm's defense is pretty good. The offense is pretty young, but if it keeps coming along some every week, it'll put LE into a good position to compete with several of the teams in this region.

Steubenville beat a couple teams that play tonight. If either or both win, Athens may move up to #3.

Jackson plays Logan and Granville plays Licking Heights next Friday. That should make the picture clearer.

Logan Elm, Tri-Valley and Athens look good to go 10-0. Maybe Jackson.
DeSales at 9-1 or 8-2 should be in.
Granville at 9-1 or 8-2 should be in. Maybe even 7-3.
Winner of Dover and New Philly should be in.
Sheridan, West Holmes, Chillicothe, and loser of Dover/Philly (if 7-3) still in the hunt.

Logan v Jackson will be a non-competitive game. Jackson just played with us! Didn't even play their two studs. Jackson gets by Ironton, they will be a top 2

Logan Elm could lose a couple of games before the end of the season. Hamilton Township has a couple of kids who will probably go D1. Circleville has a very explosive offense, as well. And the Braves can't sleep on LU or Amanda.

That would be brutal! DeSales - and if you happen to get by them - Tri-Valley awaits ... and that's just to get to the regional final.

As an Ironmen fan I kind of like it 93...but Granville is a good program and there are no easy teams on any given night...but I would take the above and go to Week 11.

But we got our work cut out this week against Logan then 3 more games after that before we can even consider the above.

Needless to say - I'm a big fan of Circleville and Hamilton Township - who could both hand LE a loss and possibly move the Braves down to No. 4 ... lol

BUT ... If Athens could beat DeSales, Tri-Valley - and then win the region - maybe, just maybe Paladin would give the 'Dogs some credit.

HA! I doubt that though.

He'd say their programs are down this year, it was a fluke or something else. And remember, Athens has no Division I talent, either.

DeSales and Tri-Valley both plays tough schedules and will be tough nuts to beat!

Agree, but Athens has a shot to do so. I peg DeSales as the favorite, but I'm sure that doesn't bother A-town much. They probably won't mind the underdog label for a change.

The best in that group is Tri-Valley, and from the end of last season to now, is the 1a-1b team in that region. Both them and Athens have improved over last season.

De Sales has down graded their schedule from the past several years, and have played nothing like they were playing 3-4 or even last year.

For what it is worth and this changes week to week, but in Region 9 according to Drew Pasteur the strength of schedule for DIII is as follows:

DeSales #10 out of 105 D3 teams.
Athens #80 out of 105 D3 teams.
Tri-Valley # 87 out of 105 D3 teams.
Jackson #71 out of 105 D3 teams.
Logan Elm #74 out of 105 D3 teams
Dover #18 out of 105 D3 teams
New Philly #31 out of 105 D3 teams
Granville #52 out of 105 D3 teams
Sheridan #85 out of 105 D3 teams

Not sure how he comes up with it, but his page is packed with stats lol.

Playing Steubenville "ups" the Athens strength of schedule and Zanesville having a down year hurts Tri-Valley and Sheridan (and Athens). The MVL having two 0-6 teams also does not help TV or Sheridan.

By the way, Pasteur has Logan Elm losing one game, so they would have to lose 2 games to drop below 2nd. I just do not see it.

I also think that DeSales will beat Harley which would make them finish in the top 4. If Jackson goes 10-0, Athens may be on the road week 11.

I have LE losing to Circleville and Hamilton Township - but I've been wrong before.

The scenario of DeSales beating Hartley is interesting.

Figuring out playoff seeding can cause a brain aneurism.

lol

BTW ... After watching Hartley's remarkable comeback win over Marion Franklin, then another over Thurgood - I have a feeling they are a team of destiny. They won't lose to DeSales.

:)
