LetsGoPSU: The freshman QB is Cole Lowery, who stands about 6-1, and is also a good basketball player as well. He played well vs. Wheelersburg considering the quality of the competition. I think that if the Trojans can provide a good supporting cast around him that he will have a very good career.........he appears to be a legitimate dual threat QB, capable of making plays with his arm and his feet.

The schedule just rotated. Last year Portsmouth had their first 4 games at home.

Yes Lowery is a very good athlete, he should do very well

Without Oliver playing, I'm going to have to go with Waverly.

The Waverly complex continues to receive the finishing touches. The place is looking great! Would be nice to get turf next year, we will see.

Just not sure what to think about this game. Waverly's defense is clearly better than last year, but Portsmouth's offense is one of the best around. What a test for the Tigers.

Portsmouth defense is suspect but they've played some of the best offensive teams in Southern Ohio. This may boil down to the team that makes the fewest mistakes and the team that wants it the most.

thx for the info on Lowery, Im looking forward to watching him develop, hope the defense can turn things around or I fear he may lead the Trojans to many 48-45 defeats

Portsmouth needs to get off the mats, and are losing shootouts
and can waverly continue a trend of winning after these past years of losing. can waverly make a statement, can Portsmouth salvage a season. should be a dandy.

Waverly is improving and Ptown is not unfortunately. Does anyone know if Oliver will return for sure?

The Tigers have not faced this kind of speed and trick plays so it will be an interesting game. Waverly wore down Piketon and Court House and gave Jackson a game in the second half after falling behind 17-0. Tigers will have to do the same with the Trojans: keep the big plays to a minimum, contain the speed and wear em down. Not sure the Trojans can stop Rigsby.

Kottenbrook left the game in an ambulance last night. Any updates on how he is doing? I hope he is OK.

I second that BurgGrad, I really didn't think PHS would be able to pull off this win without Oliver.
