Region 21
Re: Region 21
Refreshing to read a thread filled with class. A nice region, and very happy to see Southern Ohio well represented.

Agreed, rarely read many threads anymore, but look forward to this one every year. Good work to all of those number crunchers out there. Best of luck to all of the teams fighting for a playoff spot and continue to stay classy Region 21 posters.Pol Pot wrote:Refreshing to read a thread filled with class. I am telling you right now Loudonville is as advertised. If they can get out of the extremely tough region, they could make the State Final. From what I hear around, they have talked about this senior class at Loudonville for years.

I happen to agree with Knowledge on this one. If the old MBC were still together they probably rule the roost the last 2 years(Johnies, Danville, Freddies, Trojans included.)knowledge wrote:BishopReadyFootball wrote:Loudonville has only played 1 team with a winning record albeit a very impressive win over Hillsdale. Very good team that I'm pretty sure has qualified for the playoffs the previous 2 seasons in multiple divisions(DIV,DV?). I don't know much about Ready but if they can make some noise in this one, they should be amongst the R21 front runners that's for sure.

Re: Region 21
I still look at Logan's schedule and see a pretty good football team. That pretty good team was waxed at Loudonville. I have read talk on other boards about Loudonville challenging Kirtland for the Region 19 title. If any of that talk is true at all, Ready better strap it up on Friday. If the Silver Knights knock of Loudonville, I would instantly make them the favorite to repeat in Region 21.
Re: Region 21
Week 11 playoff prediction:
#8 Nelsonville-York @ #1 Valley
#7 Ridgewood @ #2 Fredericktown
#6 Oak Hill @ #3 Grandview Heights
#5 Centerburg @ #4 Monroe Central (Week 11 rematch from last year).
The big "if" is what Grandview Heights does the next 3 weeks. Very possible they could drop the next 3 games. It is important for them to win atleast 1 of the next 3.

Re: Region 21
I am glad that everyone is enjoying the "class" that the Region 21 topic brings to SEOPS. :122245 :122245
I have went back and adjusted my numbers for all the game affecting Region 21 that I "predicted" wrong in week six. Some teams lost points. Like Valley, both Fleming County and South Point lost games that I had predicted as wins last week. Others, like Grandview gained points and "possible future points" with wins from FCA and West Jeff.
As discussed last week, I think Ready is in trouble with a loss this week. They now have another problem. Belpre. If Belpre wins out, I have them with more points than a 7-3 Ready team.
Here is what I have this week:
1. Valley (27.1/23.1/19.9) (10-0/9-1/8-2)
2. Fredericktown (22.45) (10-0)
3. Grandview (16.99) (7-3)
4. Monroe Central (16.08) (8-2)
5. Centerburg (15.45) (8-2)
6. Nelsonville (15.30) (7-3)
7. Ridgewood (14.85) (9-1)
8. Oak Hill (14.82) (8-2)
9. Belpre (13.10) (8-2)
10.Coal Grove (13.05) (7-3)
11. Ready (12.33) (7-3)

It looks like we agree on all except for the Oak Hill/Nelsonville flip to #6 - #8CN2 wrote:Week 11 playoff prediction:

Re: Region 21
Hope you're right with Centerburg?Monroe. Hoping to see a rematch. Monroe was a tough bunch, their team/staff won with class. Spoke to some of their fans after the game and they were gracious in victory. The game itself really was an odd type game, neither team really established a good offensive rhythm, and as the final score(15-9) indicates really could have gone either way. I would say Monroe's D line was probably the difference.CN2 wrote:Week 11 playoff prediction:

Re: Region 21
Dses- Monroe's strength this year is their line as well. Very big along the OL & DL. Looking very possible that the Trojans may have to exchange trips and travel to Woodsfield. If so you'll not be disappointed in the atmosphere. It's a football town through and through. Anyhow, good look to all region 21 teams tomorrow!
Re: Region 21
Hey Crabs, where would you have Grandview dropping too if they lost their next three games and finished 6-4?
I agree about Ready if they would knock off Loudonville. I know someone that watched them and he said they are very capable of taking out Kirtland in Region 19. Region 21 is looking like it may be one of the most evenly matched come playoff time in the entire state with no clear cut favorite going into Week 11. IMHO

Re: Region 21
Fort Frye won again 39-0 over Buckeye Trail. Play Caldwell (7-0) for a chance at a share of PVC title.
