C-Bolt wrote:If TV is as good as that 2007 Logan team, this Logan team is in huge trouble.Be nice to see how they do against them this year without so many injuries. No excuses this year either they get it done or they don't,defense needs to step up and make a statement, they been subpar all year so far, not just Lancaster either.
My 2007 comparison was in terms of style of play, not ability. And really just on offense.

That '07 Logan team was REALLY good. Overshadowed by '08 and '09 of course, but really good.

Defense will be key for Logan this season. Need an improvement there. And I think Lancaster was definitely an improvement.

Just ran some numbers comparing this game vs. other Logan/Lancaster games.

Lancaster averaged 6.85 yards per carry in 2014.

For comparison:
2014: 6.85
2013: 10.79
2012: 10.68
2011: 10.92
2010: 8.02
2009: 5.35
2008: 2.79 (Lancaster ran spread offense)
2007: 6.58
2006: 8.52 (Lancaster finished 10-0)
2005: 3.69
2004: 6.29

I figured that's what you meant locos.I was kind of tongue and cheek when I wrote that.I was pretty sure this TV team wasn't that good ,but we won't know for sure until Friday I guess. That 2007 team was one of the two best I ever saw at Logan, even better than the years after imo, they had 3 really talented classes together which is very unusual. They had a potent running attack and dangerous kick return game to go along with a solid passing game, they were a points machine, they had no weakness that I recall, even though they lost to a strong playoff team in Lancaster (who's defense was miles better then this years Lancaster defense) that year to open they got better as the year went along, and should have won a playoff game against a very strong Tri-Valley.Well enough slobbering over that team, time to get back to the present

I don't blame ya! I tried to use that new phone of mine to record coaches corner and the pregame show last Friday since that stupid ch.2 quit playing SAM.I left for the game at about 5:30 so I could get a choice seat and when I got back found out it only recorded about 20 minutes then stopped.I had tested it the night before and it went on for hours, man I was mad trench,I really wanted to hear what Billy B had to say about this last game with the Gales.Logan 38 Teays Valley 28...Usually when I pick Logan it comes back to bite me lol

Mr. Bolt, I think your prediction is petty close. I look for an improved defensive performance from the Chiefs! I am now thinking that the Chiefs will allow around 14-20 points!

This time last year Logan was playing their first game with a different offense after Little went down. 4 to 5 days of practice the system was far from down. This year Logan has a lot of practice with their system. Should be a completely different game this time around.

Can't blame this on injuries,Teays Valley is just flat out better than Logan! I knew I shouldn't have picked Logan lol, moonshine cook us up some crow  The defense looked worn out the entire second half, the big hogs on the line were gasping for air, don't know if it was the heat or going both ways. The speed and elusiveness of the QB and running back killed Logan giving up 468 yards to a supposed weak team! Offense was lethargic and slow looking most of the first half, but finally showed some life in the second half. The receivers made some great plays and thought they should have used the slant more as it looked open the way the coverage was leaving the middle of the field open most of the night, but you can't blame the offense they put up 40.Maybe Teays was a little better than most people thought, but if Logan wants any chance of playoffs they will probably have to run the table with their schedule. The defense might look better against weaker teams but against the Jackson's and Loudenville's of the world they will have to hope to out score them.

I was correct in expecting Logan to score a lot of points. Now averaging over 40 points a game for 2 games. But now its painfully obvious Logan has no D, the problem that many expected when the season started. Giving up over a 43 point average for two games is problematic.
