Couldn't agree more Everything looked good tonight. Boys came out on a mission 8-1 is there. 1 game at a time. I'm telling you Burg is no joke they will go deep in play offs IMO. We will be just fine. You're Tiger Bait wrote:very impressive outing by the fighting tigers , way to rebound and play fighting tiger football.

good job tigers. good win. to many people saying that if ironton lost week one the season was going to be over. ironton can still run the table and go to playoffs. gotta keep working hard and no injurys .
Re: Wk 2 (0-1) Ironton @ (1-0) Russell Ky
ironton has the laziest line men i've ever seen, at the end of the half this one kid walks off the field way behind the others and comes back after half time, after the team done their warm ups, just in time to walk on the field to play. what kind of coaching staff would let there players get by with this?

Really nice to see the tigers won.
I read these posts about the 70's/80's/90's. Conditioning/helmets ON & SHELL-SHOCKED to hear HELMET's OFF! The attitudes of the players stuck out in my mind.
Im just shocked these things didnt change since last year. Heck, i never played football but i knew these things as I was a track kid, proud to learn how to read music & play the trumpet in the band! Heck, I still play it today 32-years after my Ironton days of competing were over. We took all things Orange & Black Seruous & it showed!!!
Most band kids knew all about our well-conditioned football team, & we were pushed to be as good as tiger football!
We truly matched the football team & all things IHS put forth! We all gave our MILLION DOLLARS WORTH, proud to wear Orange & Black & MARCH HOME that '79 state championship as FROSH!!!
I'm just trying to back up all these guys on here, that had this passion for IHS instilled in them, no matter how big or small their Orange & Black impacted the community.
All I can say is it's hard to hear the truths of these posts & All we hope for is somehow, somewhere, & someway, WE ALL hope for a moment these kids pushing the Orange & Black into the 2020's, connect the pride in all things IHS & it impacts the entire student body, as it did soo many years ago.
It's a truly magical movement to Be a part of & I'm hoping these kids realize it is theirs to grasp, QUICKLY, as the window of time :tick tocks quickly!!!
Gotigersgo!!! Grasp the power of the Orange & Black!!!!

Re: Wk 2 (0-1) Ironton @ (1-0) Russell Ky
All I know is I seen some boys on defense hit like they didn't last game I also seen a couple players make efforts of running across the field to make a tackle that I didn't see before. Love that effort and heart that is what makes a good team I wasn't real concerned about them not coming out of the locker room a certain way just how hard they worked together out on that field when it counted
