Did I read that right that the big 70 (Pleasant) from CG didn't play? I know he went out last week.

Long year because of a scrimmage
I guess people watch Nfl preseason and predict playoff teams to Lol
This is not a well thought out statement. The nfl has a full roster of professional players trying to make a roster spot in the pre-season. As well, they have a complete different purpose with game preparation. On the other hand, a jamboree game is two quarters of amateur high school football going at it. You can get a pretty decent indicator of what is to come.

I did not attend game but by what I read is Coal Grove won the battle up front. If this is true, irontons standout player would have helped but not have changed the game that much. What people can learn from this game is that either west, grove, and ironton are very good, or they are average high school teams. 1st game's next week.
not a well thought out statement here either cause this is a SCRIMMAGE GAME and only possible outcome is to escape the game INJURY FREE, they dont care who wins and by what score.

and 1 player could have a huge impact on a game
In basketball yes, football no. And you are crazy if the kids went in there just to have fun. Those boys wanted to go full strength and the coaches did to, especially the first two quarters. That injury free cliche is played, soooo played. Injuries are part of sports, games, practice, warm up, they happen. And in your statement, the tigers are one injured player away from a great season to an average season, but that would prove your theory. Kid must be a phenom.

I suppose you are correct (LOL) stats of 270 yds rushing on 12 carries with 2 TD'S (in 1 game by 1 person) has little to no effect

I know they have some kids out with injuries, but would those few really made that big a difference with the play calling I just witnessed??? Time will tell.....sure hope the right people watch the film and make adjustments!!!
lets hope they use a well balanced approach of 60/40 run /pass or 70/30. that game was so predictable last night a good team (and ironton has many on schedule) will be all over that scheme and ironton will be in huge trouble if they think gonna run all night long

the exact stats were 13 rushes for 236 yds with 2 td's (just football in the area)

I think he's talking about the Ironton vs fairland "game".. And if so he is contradicting what he is saying about the Ironton vs coal grove " game" not being a game.... Cgirontonfan just face facts man. Even if Ironton star had played last night it wouldn't matter.. Ironton lost the game at the Los!! Against fairyland last week Ironton controlled the Los. Now on to the real task at hand. I k ow Ironton is going to bring a tough team to Burg Friday night. After seeing burg against gallia IMO I think burg is a little soft on the dline. However they seemed to make adjustments and shut the run down after a couple series. Good luck Pirates beat Ironton!!! Burg 24 Ironton 14

no wobycat opinion was "1 player cant change the outcome of a game" those are not # 22 stats but another players stats in a single game from last year.

had CG dominated the line as is portrayed here then what people should ask is why was the score only 14-6???????? outcome would have been 30's to 6 (CG must be holding back from scoring points. (LOL)

the TIGERS will beat the burg!!!!!

#22 is good. But he is the only back that will hurt you. Burg will key on him and take him away.

:122245 I have seen both teams scrimmage and burg is a better team. Not saying Ironton can't beat them, burg just has the better team. I wish Ironton the best of luck in their season and honestly I hope they win every game after they lose to burg! I am beyond excited for this game. Its the first Ironton burg game I get to see since 2008 due to military service... GO BURG!!!

Sounds like the Tigers Line has a lot of work to do between now and next Friday.
22 PALADINO (not sure of spelling) toe turf , toe jam, toe somthing LOL
If he really has turf toe it could effect him all year. That is a very nagging injury.

That's what I was thinking, hopefully that's not why he didn't play. Hopefully it was just to give some others playing time because he's ready to go after the Fairland scrimmage, that's what I'm hoping any how.

opening drive TIGERS march 70 yds on 7 run plays and 3 pass plays that eats over 5 min off the clock for a 7-0 lead!! burg scrambles for answers on how this has happened!!!!!!!!!

Ironton might run the ball 70 yards on the opening drive and score, but if the throw it... Pick 6 wheelersburg is up 7-0 1 minute into the first and Ironton is already showing their lack of conditioning. Cramps crams cramps.. Lol jk go BURG
