Hey my point is not to buy new equipment but when needed, need to buy new equipment for your starter each year the you will spread it out the cost. How old are the helmets that were replaced. Instead of taxes maybe pay to play! And by the way you are a ??????????? also!

Maybe things should be phrased a little different. Helmets are reconditioned every year. NY had orange painted helmets. This
year they went to brown painted helmets. Yes, I'm sure they have to buy a few new helmets every year. However, I would say
that 90% of the helmets are just reconditioned. New helmets no, new paint color yes.

From what I have seen, most of the helmets were replaced. It has been a few years since they have replaced helmets other than broken or damaged ones.NYF wrote:Maybe things should be phrased a little different. Helmets are reconditioned every year. NY had orange painted helmets. This

The best way to tell is that the holes on the top are a different pattern.

You can get a few years out of helmets that are reconditioned every! We always got 15-20 new helmets and shoulder pads each yearNYF wrote:Maybe things should be phrased a little different. Helmets are reconditioned every year. NY had orange painted helmets. This

Re: Thee 2014 Nelsonville-York Buckeyes
Running a school district is a multi-million dollar operation... helmets while costly cost in the thousands of dollars and are used for several years. A lot of the sports program money is raised through the fundraising and the bingo, etc. Why people vote for levies based on what sports programs do is silly. Just support schools, hold them accountable for their use of $, and understand exactly how schools are run. In a town like Nelsonville they aren't exactly able to bring in the big bucks.

It's illegal to use money from a levy on athletics when it was a building levy. Ny makes about 65 to 85k a year on athletic bingo. The treasurer would have been arrested if that happened.
On another subject after this season Berne union will no longer be plying ny. I was talking to a coach at ny and he said they contacted Hamilton township because they are open next year and thier coach said absolutley not. So ny will be looking for a game three for next year.

Hamilton just doesn't want to get beat up by a D6 school!
It's all 4 Lane between NY and Hamilton Township.....
I am glad to hear from someone else that Berne Union is off the schedule. I heard this back in May but wasn't sure.
I'd love to see Ironton back on the schedule.
Amanda, CG, or Wheelersburg would also be great pick-ups, but we will see.
