Chillicothe Cavaliers 2014

Post by 55buckeyes98 »

Anyone have info on how Hinton will continue the progress of the Cavs? What do they have coming back? What did they lose? Roster from 2013 or for this year?

Over the last few years Chillicothe has had some good 7 thur 9 teams so if they have been staying together Chillicothe should be looking good.

In a terribly weak league, they better do better.

55 Buckeye,
Coach Hinton graduated a very good class of football players that he and staff built! The biggest area to replace as i see it wil be the "D" line and linebacker Tyler Kelley. Offense will return a QB that saw significant time in Caleb Price, running backs Carl Harris and Daquian Hall with Nate Rosenbauer makin plays all over the field too. Wide reciever DJ Vinson and tight end Christian Collins return as well. Both lines hurt by graduation but this staff will have them ready to play. Look out for Devin Zehner cuz he will knock your block off from LB position. Go Cavs!

Paladin: The SCOL overall is not a strong league, but Clinton-Massie just won back to back state titles. Chillicothe lost only 17-7 last season to them. I believe Wilmington is joining the SCOL either this year or next. Chillicothe should be a frequent contender for the top spot.

I'm well aware of C-M, but one team does not a league make. The SCOL has historically when one of the weakest in the state for the size of its schools . Wilmington is but a shell of itself still reeling from the loss of jobs and people forced to move from the area. Chilly is in a league where they should win or challenge for the title every year. And apparently that was the embarrassing idea when they sought membership in a league where they could win it. Not the first time a team from SEO ran from a tough league to find a weenie league they could win in.

That's the mindset of SEO. Embrace it.

What makes the SEOAL so strong? Your league champion last year lost to the seventh-place team from the MSL-Buckeye that went 3-7.

The SCOL has more regional championships, state title game appearances, state championships, etc. than the current membership of the SEOAL does.

The SEOAL has had a lot of flux in its membership over the years. Your friend Paladin is the one who made the comment about the state of the SEOAL and SCOL right now, which was a ridiculous statement. The top three programs - Massie, Chillicothe and Trace - would've hammered everyone in the SEOAL last year.

This might be true for last year, but you will find out comparing the last 25-35 years each league would hammer each other.

I'll concur with you that both the SEOAL and SCOL have had some fine teams over that time period that would've handled the other league. What I take issue with is the way Paladin acts like every league in SE Ohio is like pee-wee football compared to the SEOAL. The SCOL has a fine history and, unfortunately like the SEOAL, has been affected by deindustrialization in the country.

Paladin played for Logan against 5 teams from the SCOL. Logan's record ? 4-1, winning 12-8, 8-6 while losing 14-16 against Washington C.H. and beating Hillsboro 54-0 and 30-0. There were some scrimmages as well and they were ugly. SCOL never beat a Logan team in a scrimmage when I was there. Before that , it was ugly in games too. Then the SCOL stopped playing Logan. The SEOAL usually had a lot of wins vs. the SCOL too with Jackson hammering McClain for example. I believe Circleville was in the SCOL as well and the Chiefs have had some major poundings on the Ville, both game & scrimmage.

Most recently Logan lost a close game early with TV when Logan had 16 players out with injury. I welcome a return of the SCOL vs the SEOAL. Results will speak for themselves.

If you want to see what a state championship, state runner-up or regional championship trophy looks like, you can go to Massie, Trace or Court House. :122245

Ole Pali can just come on over to the TVC and we can show him a State championship trophy and a runner up trophy...........
And we have the best QB in the state of Ohio.......

I feel sorry for Paladin, he is a lonely old man.
