Waverly/Piketon/Eastern First Look

These 3 hook up tomorrow (Monday) at 6:00p.m. at Waverly's Downtown Arena.

It was good to get a first look at the county teams. I thought Piketon was very scrappy, showing some considerable depth as three of their main guns weren't there in Moore, Brewster, and Southworth. Eastern is going to be a good basketball team. They have speed with the basketball, are very unselfish, and have a special player in...I think his name is Josh (forgive me, he was a nice player last year)...about 6'3", shoots and handles well, and seems to be really attacking the rim better this year. The Creech kid can get up! The Tigers are young, with no seniors on the roster, but they have a good group of juniors and some young kids who have to step up and find their roles. Although we lack team size, I think Chapman can be a difference maker if he can stay out of foul trouble. We'll have to have patience with this team, but I think they will get better as the summer progresses.
