Re: Ironton 2014
that will depend on a lot of things (almost the whole team returns) with the right stuff in place that schedule could produce 8-2 9-1 recordlocal superstar wrote:Going to be another tough year for the Tigers.

Re: Ironton 2014
With everybody returning it looks promising, but looks can be decieving. If they try the same disorganized offensive scheme they used last year then it will be a long season.
We got a lot of returning linemen and they all need to be ik the weightroom everyday working hard. Last year as in the past couple of years our line has been weak and slow. We've been pushed around offensively and defensively. We got the backs to run if we can get them room to run.
The biggest thing to the having a good season is mentality. Do they want it? The fire has not been there for a couple years now. Its like they come out of that tunnel thinking eveybody is going to bow down because we're Ironton. That name only means something because teams take it upon themselves to make sure it means something right now these teams seem to think just wearing that uniform is enough. If they can get that fiery mentality back and they work their tails off in the off season then watch out, but if they dont its going to be a long season again.

According to the OHSAA website, Athens IS on the schedule. Right now, the OHSAA website shows Ironton having no week 2 or week 4 game though.Leo Byrd wrote:Dino......got any leads on who the Tigers might be considering putting in that spot on the schedule??????Dinocrocetti wrote:The Athens game was never on the schedule.

Re: Ironton 2014
This could be the roughest year Ironton has had in a looooong time. Wheelersburg will be good again. Amanda is always tough at home, and that's a hike from Ironton. Portsmouth will probably be better than they were last year. Athens is loaded. St. Charles will be good. Meigs will be good and may finish second to Athens in the TVC-Ohio. Jackson returns a lot and should field a very fine team. Raceland should be good again. Whether Ironton wins 0 games or all of them, they'll definitely have the toughest schedule in SE Ohio. When's the last time Ironton went win-less in a season? That could potentially happen.

Re: Ironton 2014
You are right. Sadly, the OHSAA's website isn't consistent depending on where you click. I was looking at this http://myohsaa.ohsaa.org/public/schedule.aspxFootball fan wrote:where are you seeing this on OHSAA? i go to the schedule and it shows open date oct.3ed for Ironton. and Athens http://schedules.myohsaa.org/SchoolHome ... s/10/2014/4th n Goal wrote:According to the OHSAA website, this is Ironton's schedule:moonshine wrote:I AM CONFUSED!
