I would have to say that Oak Hill will in the top running losing one key player in Adkins they need of course someone to step it up to take her place. They still need a inside person.
Watching Webster in summer league they seem to be the team that has all the potenial to take it all. They have a lot of depth on the bench. Wheelersburg seems to be missing something plus they are not as deep coming off the bench. West is way down this year it may take them a couple of years. Minford is down also after losing all their starters. Northwest could be a sleeper it is hard to tell on which team shows up. Valley lost a couple of key players but they sould still be in the hunt or at least a spoiler. Waverly last year had improved if they keep it up they may be a couple of years off from being competitive of course we know volleyball and track are their sports. In SOC I I have only seen Eastern Pike who seems to be way down if all their players were playing in the game I saw. Notre Dame seems to be capable of being in the hunt for a championship.

Was able to see the ladies play rock hill and then ND last night. Had a couple girls missing but seemed to play better as the night went on. I think we will be ok as long as the young ones can produce during the season. ND looks to be a handful this year they only had 6 players there but were fast and athletic, my money says it SOC I comes down to these two.

Lots of soc 2 teams at wheelersburg summer games.

Our west girls are struggling that's for sure.

Best two teams I've seen are wheelersburg and south Webster. Minford is slightly better than west.

Any thoughts on oak hill, valley, northwest, and waverly. Yet to see any of them play.

Burg returns their leader scorer and rebounder Holden who will be a junior this year. Holden (jr), Adams (sr), and Coleman (soph) will lead a strong group again this year. I would expect Burg to be at or near the top of the SOC.

Heard the point guard for the Burg is back this year. Missed last year due to injury. should help them out with the size they have. As for the Blanton twins they are still at Webster so far this year. Practice begins soon. Most teams are ready since they are out of the volleyball and soccer tournaments.

I would say SOC II will be clustered this year.

1a. Webster
1b. Burg
1c. Oak Hill

4. Valley

5a. Northwest
5b. Minford

7a. West
7b. Waverly

In the SOC 1

Eastern- they return the best player in the league in Roney !
Notre Dame- lost there guard but return Shaffer who is a close second to Roney as the best player in the league
Western - they return every starter and Brewster and Shanks at guard are a nice duo with senior Woods holding down the paint !

Symmes Valley- return some nice talent might push the top 3 teams buy seasons end.

Clay- lost a lot but always field a competative crew.
East,Green,New Boston- pretty far behind the rest but can cause problems if teams overlook them.

The first 3 teams Eastern,Notre Dame, and Western all have players that can 20 points on any givin night I think this will be one of the most competative years in recent history when they match up !

Well to put end to the rumors the Blanton girls are not at Oak Hill they were not on the roster nor did they dress in the previews. As for the SOC I it could be any of the following teams to win it all Notre Dame, Eastern, Symmes Valley and Western. As for SOC II it could be Oak Hill, Webster and Wheelersburg with Valley and Northwest being a spoiler. Waverly has improved a lot. West and Minford looks like they could be in a rebuilding year. Notre Dame looked decent against Oak Hill in the previews but Oak Hill did not press. Symmes Valley was close to the Burg until the second quarter then Wheelersburg turned it up a notch seemed to have a lot of quickness. South Webster was a little sluggish but they already had a scrimmage earlier that day against Ironton.

Well one game in the Lady Vikings will have to play catch up in the league with an OT loss vs Clay. Girls played erratic to say the least and foul trouble and poor shooting was our demise. Hope to bounce back vs Green and get the girls some confidence. With that being said from scores and previews I think the league standings at years end may look something like this:

1. Western
2. ND
3. Eastern
4. Symmes/ New Boston/Clay
7. East
8. Green

Western, ND, and Eastern should have some good battles to decide the champ, right now I am leaning towards Western but wouldnt count out ND or Eastern.

well most teams have about 4 conference games in. Is there anyone who may have a different prediction on who may win their conference.
