No great teams and no terrible teams. A lot of close games.
The league lost a lot of talent last year, especially pitching.

Re: SCIOTO VALLEY CONFERENCE 2014
Agreed, the league as a whole is down compared to recent years. But Adena & ZT are capable of making a run in the tourney. Of course seeding is one of many factors. Hopefully the draw enables the top teams in the SVC to play Teams out of
Conference, before having to play each other.

Congrats to Adena. There are some teams starting to play better toward tournament time. Good luck to all SVC teams.

Good luck to all the SVC teams in the Tournament
I am hoping a few teams make a long run....Really think Paint Valley has a shot to make a nice run after dropping to D4.

It sets up rather nicely for PV to make a nice run. That lineup is better than people think and they have two legit arms that can get Ks.bellyoption wrote:Good luck to all the SVC teams in the Tournament

The winner of (hopefully) Adena and Piketon has a nice road as well. Two tough district games for the winner, but both are winnable games if they play well.
Zane Trace has an excellent chance to advance to the VA as well.
It's too bad that we have a couple of SVC vs SVC matchups in the sectional, as Huntington and Westfall could both surprise some people. Huntington has the pitching, while Westfall has the offense. That will be a fun first round game.
Southeastern is in a tough spot, but Dye should be able to quiet the SOC bats and give them a chance if their offense can scratch out a couple of runs in each game. The top of their order is very good with some athletic pieces at the bottom.
Unioto is also in a tough spot, going to Gallia to face a pitcher heading to Miami. But, they had their chances to win down there last year and I think they will give themselves a chance on Monday as well.
Good luck to all SVC teams this coming week!

Re: SCIOTO VALLEY CONFERENCE 2014
Unioto is 9-11. The 2nd game Saturday doesn't count, it was not a complete game.
Re: SCIOTO VALLEY CONFERENCE 2014
I thought I read that somewhere, because they did not play five complete innings. It is changed.
