I've been told they've had up to 86 kids out for lifting. That's the majority that speaks.
Wow, 86 kids out for involuntary workouts? That's pretty impressive!

At a school the size of West it's almost unbelievable. But several people have verified it.

How can several people confirm if nobody is allowed to watch practices or weight lifting? Wests facilities would not hold 80 people for weights and conditioning. And they only have 1 coach there ... Be kinda hard to run with only one coach. :-D

Well I would think the boys would know. It's not saying 86 are there at one time.

Last count West had 188 boys in 3 grades. Those numbers probably stay fairly consistent. Throw in 8th graders that will be freshman and 86 is very possible. We had 60 plus out in August last year I believe.

Johnson probably needs to finish out the year at LU. So June I would say.

West is a sleeping giant. Great young nucleus of players coming through program next year and into the future.

Absolutely. West is a proud football community with a history of fielding competitive teams year in year out.

My opinion is that West hasn't been sub par but other teams have had twice the talent and size. But this year folks like you and luvbigcats got yourselves a brand new show. So I expect nothing less than SOC champs and maybe State Champs. That is what the coach said to expect. Nothing less will do.Especially with all the returning experience.

That should always be a goal. I have no idea what to expect this year. But I'm just looking for improvement. Yes valley, wheelersburg, liberty union, and fairland were excellent football teams. And no we didn't have great talent. But we did have enough talent to compete and we didn't. Thats all I know.

Competing should be the first goal. You have to be in the game to win them. You have to know how to win. To expect to win. I'm not sure we're there yet, but hopeful. But those on this site placing unfair expectations on these kids and coaching staff to legitimize their agendas is wrong. If your mad because so in so isn't coaching anymore then you should be mad at the previous coach for quitting. Not the new guy for doing what he thinks is right.
