If I was to guess, I would say they won't interview anyone until coach Johnson is officially here. So some time after June 2nd.

How about lets worry about the kids and talk them up!
It seems that you have direct contact with the BOE could you ask them when the coaching interviews will start? This would help Blue Devil and his friend. Thanks in advance for all your help and knowledge!

BOE direct contact, that would be a negative. BOE cant tell anyone anything, not being mean or sarcastic but they just don't know.

They may be talking to applicants who are interested. I highly doubt they are having official interviews without coach Johnson being present. There is no sense interviewing anyone at this time. If the BOE was to hire assistants without the coaches input all you would do is put the team that much further behind. And furthermore why wouldn't he ask for his fathers opinions. This is his first head coaching job, why not take advantage of the fact that he has a father who has built a successful program. You have shown your true colors it is time for you to find another team to troll....MOVE ON!!!! These young men in this program deserve better than a so called fan like you.

So what! That's a smart idea. His father has had lots success and ...... It's his freakin dad! If he didn't ask his dad for help, that would be dumb. Maybe your daddy could help you become less of a Troll!

True that.
Complain on here for months because some ex assistant may or may not be retained, but it's "his daddy" when he's gonna seek the help of his very successful father. Brilliant

I wish the father would retire and come here to stay. Wish his brother would come also.

I agree with the last couple posts. Why wouldn't he ask any available resource for help?!? Any first year head coach needs any and all help from someone with experience. Actually, I applaud him for not being close minded enough to think he could get things off the ground without at least a little help.

I agree why would he not ask his daddy for advise. Also why would he not ask Coach Triplett for his advise he has been coaching for over 25 years.

I thought his dad was still the head coach at Liberty Union? Did he retire?

Why would it matter if his father retired or not? He wouldnt have to be retired to come down for a few weeks and help him get things set up and ready to go. People want to make it out to be more of a big deal than it is.

He is a good coach and that means the LU job is open. Great job for someone. Doesn't he has another son for that position?

If Coach Dan Johnson from Liberty Union is associated with the program, it will be a definite positive for West. It will also fill a void for a defensive coordinator (or maybe he can train someone for the position)

If we count him in, we will only need 2 more assistants. Then we can all stop talking about it...hahaha

Anyway, has there been any report from the weight room? How are things going?

I would say this is just wishful thinking for the West fans. Also don't forget West plays LU and Daddy would not like to get beat by his Son.

Yes Westfan, gameday is a very condescending person. He has proven time and time again on this thread and every other one that has been deleted since the season ended that he is not with the program. That being said if you are not with the program than you are against the program. So move on and troll some other team your so called support is not needed.

Better yet ask GOAT! He runs the weightlifting. I know several players are doing there own workouts and working real real hard.
Btw all you getting all sensitive about me commenting on the head coach bringing his dad in. Ain't no where did I dish him for that so chill out.
