Absolutely they better be ready. Anyone can be beaten.
Wellston historically is solid. Wellston has lost to 1 really good team and beat two bad ones. West has beaten 3 good teams.

They played huntington 21-9
adena 48-6

like i said not the best competition but do not expect to just run all over them
I seen Huntington Ross play and they are weak.
I would say this will be about like last year. West will remember the beating they took the last time they played at Wellston. A lot of the West kids were starters in that game when they were freshman and sophomores now their juniors and seniors. This may be a long night for the rockets.

I've watched West Play, haven't seen Wellston play, but I would have to image West wins this one by at least 2 scores.

I am with x8xohiolegend on this, we may not be the favorites but this Rocket team will compete and is finding some weapons offensively, not the blowout everyone from the river is predicting, and like I said above a win isn't out of the question by any means.

I hope Wellston gets that one crew that they usually have when NY plays there. If so, they should at least be able to keep it close. Would be good to see them pull of the win to throw some more non league playoff points into the kitty for those in the league who are good enough to make it to week 11.

West has beat a few good teams and the Juniors and Seniors are still out for revenge on what happened the first time there. Wellston did look like a complete team last Friday though and surprises do happen. Just to be different I say Wellston by 7. I will probably change that in a few more days.

Unforurnately, West will be too much. Running clock by halftime. Looks like Coach Lucas is fitting in nicely at Wellston. Best of luck this week.

I full agree west has beat 3 good ones. But even against weak teams wellston looked fairly good.

Look for west to keep rolling here, especially If Bradford, Hurd, and Berry are all on the same page. Hurd is quite the surprise this year, kid is tough as nails and plays his heart out. Look for it to be West 28-7. Good luck to both teams

Hearing Wellston matches up well in this one, and no reason not to expect a good result. May be some interesting changes offensively on certain downs and distances.

If you watch West on film they probably look alot more beatable than they do in person. They aren't the biggest or the fastest but they are well coached, hard nosed, and play well together. Offense is balanced. Will be interesting to see how the weather effects the passing game. One thing they've done well is use depth and good in game adjustments to take over the second halves of ballgames. Few play both ways and most that do have backups that take meaningful snaps to rest them.

A 3-7 West team blew Wellston out last year. Stands to reason it will get ugly this year too.
Yea and wellston was 4-6 they was soooooooooo much better
Somehow you're attempting to make a point with this statement........

Can't imagine Wellston getting on the board here unless it's garbage time. West 35, Wellston 6
