Bigger Better TVC
With the PVC falling apart and the TVC Hocking a schedule nightmare with 9 teams. I think the TVC should add the Washington County Schools besides Frontier. Also they should add Logan. This would set up much better matchups of schools that are similar size.

Re: Bigger Better TVC
I just commented on the other thread and I say it every time the topic comes up. There is NOTHING wrong with the TVC Hocking. It is a perfect small school league set up for automatic playoff spots and at least 6 of the 9 teams have raised their standard of football success in the last few years.

Sweet Jesus, let it go...........
The TVC is fine the way it is.
We are happy with it's current teams and format.
Sure it would be great to add another team to the Ohio some day, but today is not that day.

Re: Bigger Better TVC
I love the TVC Hocking. I don't even have kids yet and I know that my grandsons are going to get to go to the playoffs at Trimble. Not many teams can say that, lol!!!!
Re: Bigger Better TVC
I'd like to hear the argument that convinces River Valley: 198 boys and 212 girls; Meigs, 204 boys and 183 girls how it's a good idea to join in a league with
Logan: 500 boys and 499 girls and Marietta: 344 boys and 346 girls.
If you halved Logan they are still bigger than either one!

PVC falling apart???????????
I know about River going independent and Buckeye Trail going to a league north of them. Are any other schools leaving?
Why not just add Fort Frye to the TVC Hocking, have 10 and be done with it?

Re: Bigger Better TVC
Waterford is the smallest school in the TVC. Why in the world would you put them in the middle division? Once the class of '19 graduates they are going to be back to the bottom of the Hocking. Meanwhile Fed hock is the biggest school in the Hocking. The lancers will be pretty decent in a couple years. Just pointing out facts.EasternDspy wrote: Mon Sep 11, 2017 5:25 pm With the PVC falling apart and the TVC Hocking a schedule nightmare with 9 teams. Your AA version would be the 2nd least competitive league in the State of OhioEasternDspy wrote: Mon Sep 11, 2017 5:25 pm With the PVC falling apart and the TVC Hocking a schedule nightmare with 9 teams. Fort Frye
Frontier
Monroe Central
Caldwell
Shenandoah
What's the point of a 5 team league? They should add a team or go independent. With Monroe Centrals numbers dropping and Frontiers struggles. I just think it's time for Fort to move on. Caldwell will be real good at basketball soon. Shenandoah should be good at football for 2 more years. I did hear Frontiers freshman and Jr highs are good.

Are there two teams named Southern? you have them on here twiceEasternDspy wrote: Mon Sep 11, 2017 5:25 pm With the PVC falling apart and the TVC Hocking a schedule nightmare with 9 teams. I like it the way it is,but if you're going to play.Drop Waterford and Trimble down to A.Meigs and River Valley drop to AA and add Gallia to the top.
Re: Bigger Better TVC
This will never happen, Warren has been trying to get in the TVC since they left.
& Waterford would be in the small school division. They average about 60 kids per class.

How does having 7 teams in each division help scheduling?

6 league games 4 non league games. With 9 teams in the Hocking you have no schedule flexibility.Ground Buck wrote: Tue Sep 12, 2017 8:39 am How does having 7 teams in each division help scheduling?![]()
Re: Bigger Better TVC
Would Warren join the PVC to make it a 6 team league?

Re: Bigger Better TVC
Makes sense in a way but then Warren would be playing teams a lot smaller then them.
