Fantasy Team?

Post by scotisaac »

You can select a group of 12 players from the past or present SEO for the ''perfect team''. Opinions?

I like those lists. Jeremy McCloud should be in the mix also 6'2 Guard from Latham (Western). I like that Skaggs from Southeastern was mentioned Main Man.

Anyone not including Andrew Burleson is going to get beat. It would be between him and Dante for the best player in this area in the last 10-15 years. Had Burl been allowed to stay in games that the Burg was winning handily, he would have neared 2,000 points.

Blake Justice would be a great option at the 2. Second highest scorer in SEO history(2100+pts) and a division 1 commit out of high school.

There is a lot of names being kicked around on this topic, not sure how far back you want to go; but the name Mark Bayless just might be the best player ever in the southeast district. He did play for Fred Taylor at Ohio State. He shut down the Big 10 player of the year Quinn Buckner as a freshman and could score at will against whoever he played against.

Jeff Reisinger is another big time old school player who deserves a mention. Played at Clemson and overseas and was a big time player in the early days of Zane Trace HS.

Absolutely, Jeff is another one. I'm willing to bet most people on the site never heard of these guys! Are we showing our age or what?

Lol, I only know Jeff because of his great camps he ran in the 90's and stories I've heard, but I'll go even further back and toss out a Ron Shoemaker, 1600+ points with no 3 point line. Just going through Ross County alone brings out some legends...like Larry Jordan, Matt Combs, Jason Cruse, Chris Beard, Pat Austin, Neil Johnston (NBA PPG leader in the 50s)

And imagine a one on one in the post matchup between Garin Averie and Minford's Jared McCray! That would've been amazing!

Wow! Some of those names bring back memories, Toughness was the name of the game back then, and all those tough guys wore the itty bitty short shorts! Lol,

I havent seen Kyle Miller's name pop up yet. Know he wasnt the best around in high school put he scored 1,000 at Piketon and went on to play at Notre Dame(ohio) and Shawnee State. Currently playing overseas in Austraila where he's averaging 25+ Very good player

Miller was a great player, but it seemed he blossomed after high school. Definitely deserves a mention though
