Re: Athens AT Jackson 2/8
Nice game by the Ironladies. Madison Ridout, Whitney Wills and Kerrigan Hoover really stepped it up again.
Jackson jumped out to a 10-0 lead. Coach Horsely called a timeout and Athens got it going a bit and Doseck drained a 15 footer to score her first points and end the quarter trailing 14-8.....but by the 4:22 mark of the second Athens had a 22-15 lead and Doseck scored an incredible 17 points in just under 4 minutes of play.....but Jackson withstood and lead 30-26 at the half.
In the second half Jackson kept that 3-7 point lead much of the way as Ridout went for around 15 points in that half and Poe grabbed a number of rebounds and Hoover and Wills did their thing scoring when needed, pressuring for steals and even some rebounds.
Excellent game by Coach Walburn and the girls....great schedule and record.
Treat everyone in the tournament with respect and keep it going.

Re: Athens AT Jackson 2/8
Congratulations to Coach Horsely and to Coach Walburn on their seasons. Congratulations also to the outstanding athletes on each of these teams.
I have had the opportunity to see both of these teams and they are each very solid in their play and have huge passion for the game.
What an exciting way to get ready for the post-season!
