Trace doesn't score consistently, but they play exceptional defense and rebound the ball well. They held Greenfield to 17 % from the floor and Massie to 8 points. No one else has been able to stay in front of her all year. Trace has yet to play their best game. The only bad games they have played all year were at Jamestown which has one of the better scorers in the state and at Pickerington against a good team and was their third game in five days! No one in this sectional is that much better than anyone else. Should make for some great tourney basketball. Jackson does have clearest path to district finals!

Trace is very good and I'm not cutting on them....just saying you can't base how they would beat SP based on how they played 2 hours away at Ironton.

Everyone in Warren can say Jackson is a good bit better than Athens....but it's about matchups and execution that game.

Ironman knows all. God forbid someone else post on this site. Ironton will beat south point and then more excuses will roll. Ironton is much better than early in the season due to schedule. South point has gotten worse due to schedule. All will see. Valley shoulda been the 3. Bad votes by coaches apparently

Lol, whatever you made points and I made points.

Ironton/SP is a rivalry and I watched the Ironton boys knock off the 20-0 Todd Mayo team....things happen. I haven't a clue if Ironton or SP will win.....just wasn't all over the comparison using Trace.

I've seen Ironton play 6 times this year and 4 times since the new year. They have gotten much better playing a bunch of d-1 and d-2 teams. South Point has chosen to play the likes of Fairview Ky x 2, cross lanes wv x 2, etc. I did not see the Ironton vs. South Point game, but I have no clue how South Point scored 51, and I bet they don't do that this time. Ironton's full court pressure will bother South Point quite a bit.

South point loses by 29 to fairland last night and 20 a few weeks ago.. Pretty sure ironton lost by single digits early on to fairland. I wonder who fairland would rather play???

It is all about matchups and South Point is obviously better matching up against Ironton!

South Point's size is too much for Ironton. Good win Pointers!
