Southeast boys basketball is weak overall, not a lot of good teams. But no way does a girls team beat a boys team, no way!!!BBallin fool wrote:How weak are some teams in southeastern ohio your good or terrible, and the bad beats up on the terrible,Eastern girls would give some a game , sorry jmo

Re: GAHS drops Jackson 77-32 for 10th win
Gallia has definitely played some tough teams the last 2-3 years. The record this year is a little skewed to the W side as we do have a weaker schedule from the looks at the records of teams played. Warren, Athens, Portsmouth, Chilocothe , Cheseapeake Fairland have all had good teams the past 3 years, but even a couple of those are down this year from then. Cant speak on years before that cuz i wasnt in the stands those years. Gary has the boys coming along tho i think. Time will tell.
Re: GAHS drops Jackson 77-32 for 10th win
I thought they looked good vs Fairland and had a chance for a while vs Portsmouth. Warren killed them but who doesn't lose to them. When we played them both times they played good for a quarter but after that didn't shoot too well The thing I hate is we have dropped wheelersburg and Athens and chilli x 2 and have replaced them with tolsia and Lincoln co and wellston and eastern. If you are a gallia fan we always play Portsmouth even when they were not in the league. we are dropping them soon. I think the future is bright but schedule has to get tougher. Meigs is the best win and the combined record of the 10 wins if jottings is right is 26-126. If this doesn't change we will have many 15 win seasons and prob play an easy sectional game but at convo will play competition and may be in trouble. This team coming up next year is good. Streiter will be a force and I was impressed with the corn well boy. Good luck in tourney

Re: GAHS drops Jackson 77-32 for 10th win
May not be this season, but believe it or not this year's team has improved significantly from the season start, and the cavalry is coming (currently in Junior High). Look for the program to edge toward .500 when the current 8th grade team are sophomores, and to compete for league titles in 3-4 years. It is hard to predict success as the kids start to mix in 9-12 and some kids move to Varsity play (and every other program improves and makes changes too), but I believe that is what the crystal ball says lol...so Ironmen fans be patient, and congratulate the kids now that are enduring and grinding it out for the benefit of the ones coming.Buckeye-4-Life wrote:Wow!
