In both Minford wins over Waverly last season, Ward went 1-for-8, don't think that gives Valley the edge over Minford, but it should be a great season to watch.

Can she play defense? Any way defense can help win a game?

Yeah, from what I have seen, her position behind the plate is strong. She will be an asset to the Indians this season.

88,
I think you need to go back and check your stat book.
both the waverly and Portsmouth papers and waverlys book shows her going 7 for 8. Hmmm, that's a big difference but I digress, minfords team was and still is a team with alot of weapons.
going to be a great season with a whole bunch of good games.
Again, good luck to all teams and stay healthy.

Burg has nice early season wins against Waverly (11-1) and Valley (11-3). Minford travels to Burg on Thursday for a big game! Coach Ruby has gotten the team off to a fast start. For anyone making the trip from Muletown, Burg has new dugouts and the home side is now on the first base line.

Depends on who you ask...lol. Burg is 15-0 (9-0) I believe. I think most people thought it would be Minford and Valley shooting it out for the SOC title. Right now Burg has a 2 game lead in the conference heading down the stretch. Burg still has to travel to Minford next week, but Minford has 4 conference losses. Burg has beaten Valley twice and Minford in the first meeting, so they just need to take care of business and the trophy is theirs

I agree with 4th n Goal. Most people seemed to think it was between Valley and Minford. They both returned quite a few players from the last season and they finished one two in the league. I believe Burg was middle of the pack last year. I think Minford, Waverly and Valley all have four league losses right now. Valley may just have three losses?

Waverly is playing some good ball now and they only have one senior on the team. Should be solid for the next several years.

I agree toast and Waverly also has an outstanding 8th grade group thats only lost 1 game in the last 2 years. Things will only get better for this Waverly team. They have a lot of young talent thats going to be around a while.
