2014 Coal Grove Boys Tournament

We will be having our 2014 tournament starting Thursday, Feb 27th and ending Sunday, March 2nd.
There will be a 20 pt press rule.
We will have licensed officials and use OHSAA rules.
Open to school teams only.
No AAU, all kids must be from the same school and be in the 6th grade or below.
We will have up to 8 teams.
$100 entry fee

I received notification at 830 this morning that Fairland was not playing in our tournament after confirming with them earlier in the week. We replaced them with our 5th Grade CG team. Big Thanks to the boys and girl for coming out and playing hard with only a 2 hour notice.
Single Elim tournament will start Sunday at 9am with The 5th graders playing Valley.

In the championship game today, we saw a hard fought rematch from Saturday. Logan and their 6'2 center and dominating inside game vs the scrappy home team Coal Grove Hornets and their long range specialists.
After Coal Grove jumped out to an early 6 point lead we saw Logan stick to their game plan and pound the ball inside. Coal Grove lost the lead at the end of the half and the Chieftains never looked back. The deficit was cut to 3 after a couple foul shots with about 2 minutes left but after a key 3 point play by the big man, Logan finally finished off the Hornets 48-41
