Someone's son must not be getting to play. :?: :?: :122247

Congadutlat?? ;-) wow maybe you are a kid. Lol

Get over it, if you are from ironton how about showing your son how to fight and not complain when things don't go your way.
Is that what it is regulator? someone's sitting the bench that should be out there let better players sit on the bench when the team is wiinless in 15 tries? well anyway thanks for clueing everyone into whats wrong at tigertown. maybe you should contact the coach and tell himt o knock it off ...he cant be showing favorites...

if the tiggers are going to be back on top next year the coach has to be keeping better players on the bench then he is playing right now and that explains a lot someone said Lafon is even coaching the JV team this year to so he can at least put a couple wins on his resume is this true?

like I said 1 man singlehanded brought down a great program to no return and now this big bad power house is joining the OVC? how does the folks in ironton feel about this seeing how for many years they all mocked this conference

roy, I could eat a bowl of alphabet soup, and crap out a better argument than this. times have changed. ironton will still schedule aggressively. and every school goes through slack years of talent, we are there. and at first I was against the ovc too. but what other league do we fit in geographically,--------------- none. i'll save ya the stress. this will be a good thing in the ovc , attendance has been horrible, new rivalries will start. the places will be full. and as our teams learn to win again, we'll be back. if we are not. ------------------then we need to make ample changes.

Im sure you don't need to eat a bowl of alphabet soup to do that , you are full of it.

I just remember for many years all the Tiger fans degrading the ovc and bashing how weak it was and find it funny that now that they are down they go running to join and NO playing in the OVC you will not be playing a Brutal schedule !

I agree going to the ovc is embarrassing for the Ironton sports program. I do believe Ironton fans have mocked this conference for years bc no one in this conf (even when ovc schools had decent teams) would NEVER play Ironton except So Point on occasion.

This is a sad time in Ironton athletics. The only rivalry that will be is with Portsmouth and that started a loooong time ago. I have heard several people comment that they will not attend games bc Ironton has joined this conf.

It's a shame when so many great people in Ironton have built a great sports tradition to come to this. And this is not a knock on the ovc teams but Ironton has always been in a different class than these schools.

I also agree that we've had a dip in talent in sports overall but this will not last and when we do come across a talent-laden group then what? We play down in competition and become like everyone else.

Something has to change, regardless of records, but for the future of Ironton athletics!

I think people forget how good of a program the Panthers of Chesapeake have down there on the river. I think that will turn into a great rivalry when they join ovc and play twice a year. Ironton will be ok folks..just a down year. It was only 10 months ago they were at the Schott playing in the State tournament..

Boy that will show them, way to support the kids that bust their butt to represent the School and Community. If you want to make a statement, try a different approach. If your not attending games because we joined the OVC, that's pretty sad and disrespectful to the kids IMO.

Simply not true. When I was in school we played them in basketball and baseball I believe every year. Competitive games too.

elmer got to thinking that them tigeters could make them a lot of extra money at half time if they could get the alphabet pooper youretigerbait to crap out TIGER at half time. get him some soup at the beginning of the game and at half time let him squat down out there and spell it out people would pour into the place just to watch him squat and poop it out

When you think of IRONTON you think of one sport - Football. That's the sport that has brought about the proud tradition at Ironton High School. Yes we have played ovc schools in basketball and baseball. But we play St Joe in baseball too. Basketball in the ovc has a consistently good Chesy team and thats it . For years no one in the ovc (so pt on occasion) would play us in football and Ironton joining the ovc hurts our FOOTBALL program the most... period!

Once again this is in no way towards Ironton athletes, but the way things our being handled by the decsion makers is the reason many people have said they will not attend games.

THEY HAVE TO LEAGUE UP RIGHT NOW I THINK. NO OTHER LEAGUE GEOGRAHICLY TO JOIN. Hopefully the level of sports picks up in the rest of the ovc, it will have to now, or ironton will run roughshod through the league, at least in football. it was more a financial move I think. the seats will be full.
