I'd still like to read about them here, and in my hometown paper. the football team was really bad too this past year. but at least I know what was going on.

they are extremely young from what I hear, everybody has growing pains.they'll be back on top of it, and I know the schedule was very difficult.but these are kids that are trying for their community, they deserve the recognition. win or lose.

There's a long article about last night's ihs game vs Chillicothe in today's Tribune. Go buy a hard copy, I'm quite sure the Tribune has bills to pay as well and typically the Sunday games do not appear online until Monday.

Tigerbait...I have IHS 0-10 on the year. Understand they are young but a couple veterans have been hurt. Anyway, I'd like to exchange rosters with WIRO's Jason. If not, can u find me one and I'll send one from GAHS. Thanks, Jottings

I've read game results in the Ironton Tribune. Been a tough year for the Tigers but they are learning a great deal which should help them the next couple years, a lot of Sophamores on the team and only 1 Senior. Bowling a JR starter was injured early in the season and hasn't played since.

GO TIGERS..........

From what I have heard they are very young, most of their team are sophomores. I have heard the kids on this team are pure workers and could care less that they are 0-11, but they are moreso hoping to get better for the next game. They can't do anything about what has already been done. They do have one, if not the best, coaches in the area and a great group of young kids with a lot of heart. I have been very impressed by their play of late. I would figure come tournament time that nobody will want to draw them.

Same thing happened a couple years ago to the Ironton girls basketball, they lost almost every game but you wouldn't know it. It disappeared from the Tribune and you couldn't figure out scores anywhere. So if a team from Ironton doesn't win, there is no press at all

I don't think it has anything to do with the b ball record.... more to do with that ironton fans are "turned off" on the fact that we are going to the OVC and the direction of and where we are at as an atheltic dept.... it is truly embarrassing.

the OVC was the best thing that could have ever happened to ironton!!! the competition will be good wait and see!!!

the only thing that was embarrassing was whoever ran ironton OFFENSE(coach) in football!!!!! they have 1 of the best basketball coaches around!!

Agree 100%... If one were really interested in following the Tigers they would know that every game has been covered by the Tribune! Here is your answer the Tigers are down obviously! I think that goes w/o saying when looking at their record. Everyone that knew anything about the team coming into the season knew that there would be some ups and downs. Then add a couple of key injuries and it just compounds things. One thing I can say about this group of young men is they work hard and compete in every game. For those that don't attend games it may seem like that's not the case but for those of us who watch them know better!
