I'm pretty sure there is a JV game ... we were told at Power 105 the start time for varsity could be anywhere between 7:30 and 8:00.
Thanks for the info!

Athens lost 67-57

Athens kept it close the whole game, Athens probably only shot 25-30%. Lutz was the reason Athens kept it a game. By far one of the more exciting games I have watched. Hopefully this shows Athens they can compete with anyone in d2

... the Bulldogs were within 3 at around the 3 minute mark of the 4th quarter ... missed 4 consecutive FTs that would have put them up by one ... sounded like a great game played by Griffin Lutz the freshmen for Athens ... Dawgs held there own vs SVSM in the house that Lebron Built ... got to feel confident even in the loss that they CAN and DID play toe to toe with one of the BIGS Above the Lancaster-Dixon Line ... SEO woot woot!!!

Looking forward to seeing Athens take on Valley this evening !!! I saw the Warren vs Valley on a neutral court a couple of weeks ago, tonight Valley vs Athens ... should make for some good comparisons ...

That was not one of Valleys best games against Warren I would like to see them play again.I think after their big win over Minford tonight Valley will show up to play against Athens

One difference here is Athens just had what appears to be a hard fought game against a power school on what would be a 360 mile trip and have to turn around and travel another 160 miles to play a quality team that probably played either a home game or a game against school within 10-15 miles. Advantage there goes squarely with Lucasville. Should be a good game.

Athens earned a lot of respect tonight. Dambrot was spending a lot of time talking to Athens players after the game. The Bulldogs almost knocked off an extremely good team with a six man rotation. Not to mention shots were not falling early. The defense was very good and the freshman Lutz was absolutely incredible. Bulldogs will have a good matchup with Valley tomorrow, but know that Athens should be the favorite.

Great effort by the Bulldogs last night. I think without a doubt that Athens is a legitimate contender to win the D2 Athens regional.
