A lot of the players looked good yesterday evening. Now, it's off to summer training before 2-a-days start in August.

Everyone go ahead and start celebrating, because this is my last post until after our jamboree 3 months from now.

Until then..........

Any numbers? What lifts did they do? Just squat and bench?

I am looking for Minford to make some noise this year in the SOC. I think if they work hard and use their speed, they have returners on line that are tough. I think they could be a contender for winning the SOC and into the playoffs. One day and one step at a time boys. Best of luck!

With passing tournaments coming up does anyone know what ones we'll be in and where?

Minford has been going up to Jackson for years now so I would assume one up there. But no clue on any others. In other news heard talk is in the air for getting field turf which would be cool but I like the grass better.

I like grass too, but this field turf is very cool. I have walked on it during band competitions and love it. It would make the facilities which are great now, outstanding. Would save the school $$$ in the long run with no cost for cutting, watering and painting before games. Some painting and cutting would still be involved for the soccer program as they use a different field.

You need to recheck your figures if you think Field Turf saves money. Initial install will be 600k+ and replacement around 200k plus in 12-14 years. If you are paying that much to cut the grass and paint you have the highest paid custodial staff in Ohio.

I read that stuff all the time and I think the same thing PP. I understand soccer and other sports can use itso that is more cost savings but it would take 20 years to save money to make it worth it unless you can host playoff games. And unless its a first rounder, that is not gonna happen at Minford.

Maybe get a corporate sponsor to help defray the costs like Jackson did with Holzer Field.

Let's start winning games, along with a few SOCII Championships and we'll see what's with the "Corporate funding..."

How about Frowine's Field or Pfleger Field in Shoemaker Stadium? Some of the oldest, most well known names in Minford.
