Re: Boys D4 Valley/Meigs
Pebbles and Fairfield seem to be the early season favorites.
If anyone has the time or knowledge it would be interesting to see the records of all teams at each sectional to have a better understanding.

It's closer the Beaver Eastern . They are 5 min from Valley and get shipped to Meigs. But now it's 5-5 SOC-SHL

How many does d4 get this yr. Is it still 4 come out of each one or did they change it back to two?Was just curious.
Re: Boys D4 Valley/Meigs
I know its been tough on SHL at Valley draw wise but Green getting sent for a 1Hr and 46 Min drive for a SECTIONAL game is an absolute joke. Greens not winning a tourney game this year no matter where its played but no teams Sectional should be farther away than its district. Guess it just works out that way sometimes.

Eastern Pike HS and Valley HS are not 5 min apartlightle04 wrote:It's closer the Beaver Eastern . They are 5 min from Valley and get shipped to Meigs. But now it's 5-5 SOC-SHL
Eastern to Meigs is 70 miles on 2 4 lane roads....Green to Meigs is mostly 2 lane and at least that far.

Re: Boys D4 Valley/Meigs
Hoot, You are spot on. For Green and St. Joe to travel 75- 80 miles for a sectional game is ridiculous.
Re: Boys D4 Valley/Meigs
Lol.....if you ride a bus from Eastern High school to Valley High School via 335 and you only take 10 minutes....it would take those kids 30 minutes to recover from the car/bus sickness.lightle04 wrote:Your right it's 10 min down 335
But yes, they are quite close for sure.
Re: Boys D4 Valley/Meigs
Super Sectional would be best. Even though it's still a good trip I wish Sectional was Wellston. Easier trip for southern most teams but certainly not a home game. White oak has always had a long trip to Sectional at Valley.
Re: Boys D4 Valley/Meigs
Most teams only play one game in a sectional. What is the big deal? Most teams travel farther than this for a scrimmage.

Don't count out the Titans taking this sectional with some serious stingy D being played this season.
