Well if were going there! Warren has Hall & French both of whom have had several dunks this year. That'll cancel out Hall/French - Watson/Borrows. That leave Luemans 2X vs Patton/Kidder. Humm another push. Moving on, Henthron and Saltzman pretty much the same player. Guess what were right back where this game usually ends up in the hands of the brain trust. I believe in this area Warren holds the advantage. Maddox is superb at handling a team coming down the stretch in close games. Last year Newark Catholic, Athens 2X, Logan, New Philly were all games that Warren's coaching staff was the difference. I saw Saturday that Athens still having those late game bugaboos biting the backside. What happened at the Covo wasn't an aborration but the norm. If I'm remembering right in the Distict Final Miami Trace ALMOST came back from 20 down b4 they ran outta gas. Can't keep blaming these collapses on youth. Everybody except Lutz has played 35+ varsity basketball games.
Fun to talk about and speculate but the game itself will be awesome. Prolly one of the more antisapated games in recent years. Lots of PTP'ers on both sides. Maybe one day in the future when the Warren kids are plowing corn and Borrows in an NFL QB they can look back with fond memories of beating the NFL star. Lol

GO BIG BAD BLUE!

I said that about vj king and burrow. ESPN would look back if they make it to the league and show burrow getting dunked on but burrow had 16 pts and vj had 6pts

I'm sorry I was just going by what Fred said on TV "it was his first game back" I guess TV and radio get different information. Also just wondering, did Valley play Friday night?

Warren/Athens doesn't matter if Logan Elm keeps winning. They deserve the Number 1 seed if they do so.

As far as league support goes it's pretty even: So there's no over load from one league to sway the voting. Will Vinton or Meigs vote Athens #1? Marietta drop them on the schedule and has the JV coach from Warren as the head coach. It will be interesting and we'll just have to wait and see how the records are by tournament draw time.

Valley played arch rival (and 8-2, with 1 loss being to Huntington Prep) Minford in a game that they won by 5 that was a 1-2 possession game throughout.

I am pretty excited for all of this arguing to continue for the next 3 weeks! No matter what happens on Tuesday, someone will come up with an excuse why they lost and why they should still be the 1 seed. This should be fun.

Warren will be playing Cols Bishop Hartley Sunday at the RT 40 Classic.

DeSales is no slouch and Hartley is a slightly better ball club, so it was going to be a heck of a challenge for the Warriors either way. Should be a heck of a game.

I agree ... lol ... fun stuff.

I crack on folks and make absurd remarks from time to time here on preps - but in reality - I enjoy almost everyone (fans) in this D2 sectional. Pretty good group of posters I must say, which makes this heated 3-way rivalry even more fun.

And yes, WarriorBlue - that includes you too ... you may have issues in regards to your love for Warren - but still a pretty darn good guy away from the court.

GO 'DOGS!

VC is 5-5 now after beating River Valley last Tuesday. Vikings have been playing well and have some winnable games coming up. The two games with Meigs will be a big factor in jumping up to the 4-5 spot.

This sectional offers so many fascinating scenarios it's not even funny. How each coach will vote in the meeting is the 'big mystery' - and how each one will vote to benefit their own needs makes it one giant puzzle ... lol

If VC was to move into that 4/5 spot, coach Combs obviously has a big decision to make seeing as the 4/5 plays the No. 1 ... both teams that happen to fall into the 4 & 5 seed will have a huge impact on who gets the No. 1 seed ... you would think what happens on the floor matters most, but if you have 3 teams who are all worthy, then it becomes a 'judgment' call by all 9 coaches sitting in that room in Jackson. A 'judgment' call that benefits them.

I think I would pay $50.00 to be allowed to sit in on the DII Logan sectional draw ... lol

No offense - but I hope you're slotted as the No. 6 seed before Logan Elm is voted upon ... lol

interesting tid bit ... voting is done in alphabetical order, which alternates every year ... either Warren (W) or Athens (A) will be the first to hit the board ... talk about getting the 'drama' out of the way first.

Don't count out Sheridan, they have two quality guards. I wouldn't want to see them in the first round and they play in the very tough MVL.
