Did not loose many Seniors this year. I will say it will be intersting to see who the Coaches will be next year. I heard a few of them are not returning next year. I don't want to get into the reasons because the ones I heard had different reasons.

Is turf a done deal for the Tank? As much as I like turf, to me a historic stadium should be left as a natural surface. With that being said, having the turf will open up potential use by more kids and is probably the right investment long term, but I still hate to see it.

i know that they are picking up meigs next year. not sure which week or if it is home or away...if i had to guess it would be AT ironton because meigs plays coal grove and fairland at home next year, so i would think that they would split those up so we don't have three long trips in the same season.

I'm glad to see meigs and Jackson on the schedule. meigs is forming a great football program there. in the mid 70's when I played , we were in the seoal with meigs.and Jackson is a big rivalry that needed renewed.

Im with you on that one. A stadium like the Tank needs to stay grass, but its a done deal now. Just from watching them the past few years I think they need a new strength/conditioning program cause what they are doing isnt working.

I agree what I have seen during the games the linemen have trouble late in games controlling the line of scrimmage. I know Ironton has a weight lifting class the last period of the day. The intensive level during the class needs to be picked up. Also if the weight training is only lasting one class period that is much too short. Need to work much more on their core to start the weight training then lift weights.tigercannon71 wrote:4th n Goal wrote:Is turf a done deal for the Tank? I THINK THAT WAS JUST A 2 YEAR DEAL. NOT SURE.
Re: BESIDES TURF, WHAT'S NEXT FOR THE IRONTON FIGHTING TIGER
According to the OHSAA website Oak Hill is back on the Ironton schedule in week 6 of 2015. Will Ironton's entry into the OVC change that?

If they are anything like last years team Ironton will have their hands full.
