Hearing that Eddie Miller broke his collarbone in a sledding accident over the weekend....that may shake up the sectional.

Wow! If this is true than I don't see Wheelersburg any higher than a 6 seed. My top four in order (as of right now): Valley, Portsmouth, Zane Trace, Eastern Brown. Of course there is still a lot of basketball to be played before the Drawing.

The interesting part of this sectional will be who gets the 2 seed between ZT and Portsmouth! The next interesting part will be who gets the 4,5, and 6 seeds between EB, SE and LC. After that it pretty much clears itself up with the only other question being between Burg and WU, and Huntington for that 8, 9 and 10 slots.

However it turns out, no one at the top better sleep on anyone in this sectional as any team, even Westfall is capable of knocking off a top dog.

I see Valley 1, Ports 2, ZT 3, SE 4.

My thoughts on the seeding are:
1 Valley
2 Portsmouth
3 Eastern Brown
4 Zane Trace
5 Southeastern
6 Lynchburg-Clay
7 Piketon
8 Wheelersburg
9 West
10 West Union
11 Northwest
12 Huntington
13 Adena
14 Westfall
This is possibly the correct order, but I am not sure how the brackets will be laid out so there may be some teams moving up or down in the middle to avoid playing confernce foes in the first round.

Valley and Portsmouth have played tough schedules.
Zane Trace has two losses against Piketon and Unioto.
Portsmouth hammered Piketon. Valley killed both of them.
Also, Logan Elm/Zane Trace was moved to after the draw.

1. Valley
2. Portsmouth
3. Zane Trace
4. Eastern Brown

I am hoping the Trojans can get the #2 seed, but we have another good test against Cleveland Martin Luther King on Saturday. MLK is in the top half of the standings in the 12 team Senate League (Cleveland City League). King has a 5-8 guard averaging 22 PPG with a high of 41 vs. Conneaut. PHS will have their hands full with the Crusaders. A must win for Portsmouth to have a chance for that #2 slot. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.

If anyone is interested in watching the game, the varsity contest will start at 5:00, with JV at 3:00.

Having seen all 4 teams, that's how I would rank them via the eye test anyways. The SVC could band together to try and get ZT the 2 seed to avoid Valley until regionals, but that would be the only difference in my eyes.

Southeastern vs Eastern Brown in a 4/5 game could be a lot of fun. Heck any sectional final could be outstanding, especially since West has played Valley tight the last two years (besides their last meeting) and Wheelersburg/Lynchburg can play with anyone. A Piketon squad with Jeremy Farmer is a nightmare for whatever top seed draws them. Heck, Adena has great guard play and a bunch of shooters and Huntington's size is a tough matchup for a lot of teams.

This sectional will be loads of fun.

Chicken_coop,
Not much respect for the Tigers tonight. They went to Valley with a great game plan but couldn't throw it in the ocean. They worked and were very patient to get the wide open looks but couldn't knock em down.
I understand Valley is heavily favored but Oak Hill thought the same thing when they visited the downtown arena. The Tigers made their shots that night.

Where can I find the actual Sectional Bracket? What seed plays what seed?

NCAA style

1 bye, plays winner of 8/9
2 bye, plays winner of 7/10
3 vs 14
6 vs 11
Winners of 3/14 and 6/11 play

4 vs 13
5 vs 12
Winners of 4/13 and 5/12 play

I didn't disrespect the tigers, that's why I put SHOULD IN CAPITAL LETTERS. The Indians at 18-2 SHOULD go to Waverly and win. That's why I didn't say they WOULD be 19-2 at the draw, because that would be disrespecting the Tigers. I understand you're trying to give a little extra motivation to the Tigers, but let's not act like they're being all disrespected and etc.

Good Luck tonight, just not too much.

GO INDIANS!
