Peake by 12. Let's say, 60-48.
But that doesn't mean an easy game. Peake will need to continue to play solid defense and work for open shots to win. SMART shot selection, Panthers!

Re: Chesapeake v/s South Point 12/13/2013
Believe the final was South Point 45, Chesapeake 39.
Peake looked absolutely lost on offense. In my opinion, we aren't using our bench at all the way we should (and mostly just not at all) and we pound the ball into the floor too much. Hopefully tonight was just a perfect storm of poor adjustments from coaches and poor execution from the players. I just hope we aren't planning on blaming the defense all year if we can't hold our opponents under 40. The offensive end has to get better.
Gotta get it fixed quick...tomorrow brings another game.

SOUTH POINT — As odd as it may seem, the South Point Pointers had their backs to the wall one game into the Ohio Valley Conference race.
Having lost to Fairland on Tuesday, the Pointers needed to win at home Friday against the Chesapeake Panthers who knocked off Coal Grove on Tuesday.
South Point did just what it needed as it beat Chesapeake 46-39.
John Johnson scored 16 points and Eli Ketron posted a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Pointers (1-2, 1-1).
“This was one we have to win. We told the kids they had to win this one to have a chance at the conference,†said Pointers’ coach Chris Barnes.
“Eli played well. We needed that. And freshman A.J. Nease his two big 3s and he did a good job on (Andrew) Saunders.â€
Caleb Heffner had 17 points and Gage Rhoades scored 14 to lead the Panthers (3-2, 1-1).
Johnson scored 8 points and Brandon Barnes scored 6 in the first quarter as South Point took a 17-11 lead.
Chesapeake got within 22-21 at the half as the Panthers held South Point to 5 points in the second quarter.
“We didn’t hardly get any shots in the second quarter,†said coach Barnes.
The Pointers were up 31-29 after three quarters.
Heffner scored 7 points in the fourth quarter, but South Point was 11-of-15 from the foul line to seal the win.

I agree on the not using the bench. You guys only played six boys and the Point played 9 . fresh legs make a huge difference!

I wondered the same thing?? why did he not use those bench players?? I have watched them and they have the talent?? Chesapeake needs to rotate more than they do but I am not the coach so... oh well but they need some extra helppantherdad wrote:Believe the final was South Point 45, Chesapeake 39.

I always love reading threads about teams that I am not affiliated with. I LMAO every time some daddy gets on and tells what the team needs to do. I think after watching Chesapeake every year at the convo that they are pretty well coached. They play as hard as any team I have watched. I wonder how Coach Davis and staff made it to the state and regionals several years in a row without the help of these daddy coaches? Chesapeake lost a lot of talent a couple years ago so most of their wins now are due to good coaching and the players playing harder than the players on other teams.
