You know what they do with strikeout leaders !!! just ask Stubbs he could cover more ground than Bruce in the out field.

Glad you could bring such great insight to this thread. Thanksluvbigcats wrote:Bruce is highly overrated! I think he s_cks.beaverlover wrote:Agree with you that the strikeouts have to go down but I don't understand how u think Bruce is overrated..the guy gets very little national attention and is overshadowed by Votto. Put his numbers up against other outfielders in MLB plus his top notch defense and I believe he is very UNDERRATED not overrated. Just my opinionBBallin fool wrote:Bruce is overrated in my book at this time lead the NL in strike outs , got to get better if you want to be a 4 hitter???and that is where he is needed.
Re: 2014 Cincinnati Reds
I will take Bruce in my outfield any day. Best arm in baseball. He does strike out a lot but when he gets hot he can hit a lot of homeruns. Hamilton IMO was the most exciting player on the team last year. Baker never played him much but when he did he seemed to get on base quite a bit. When he got on he made things happen. He won a few games for them with his speed. Choo couldn't hit left handers and got an unreal contract. This tells me Bruce is a bargain for the Reds.

. Bruce was second in RBIs and 3rd in homers in the National League last year. 3B and SS where they struggled to get hits along with LF.luvbigcats wrote:I got about as much faith in Jay Bruce as I do in the U.S government.

Re: 2014 Cincinnati Reds
Jay Bruce is one of the best outfielders in the game..offensively and defensively. Reds fans should appreciate him why we have him as we got him at a bargain..6 years $58 million. Usually players that put up the numbers he does year in year out get $100 to $200 million deals.Charge wrote:. Hope they lock up both for at least a couple of years. Not far away on arbitration numbers for The Cuban Missile. We need him as our closer.BBallin fool wrote:Bailey and Chapman in know hurry to sign???
