Coal Grove loses a tough one to Elliott Co 44-40. Very good game to watch. Both teams played hard. Keep your heads up Hornets.

Coal Grove 8th defeated Portsmouth tonight 38-35 to run their record to 10-2. Portsmouth rimmed out a three at the buzzer. Very exciting game to watch. Hornets face undefeated Fairland Tuesday night. Good luck boys.

I once again witnessed a classless exhibit from New Boston's junior high boys coaches. Clay's coach Compton showed more restraint than I would! I would have punched them in the nose! NB had at least 3 starters still in in the forth quarter, going against Clay's second string 7th graders! I talked to Compton after the game, he wouldn't say anything but you know he was pissed. All I can say is I hope Karma comes back to bite the "mighty tiggers". I saw where NB is going to be in the South Webster tournament, I hope they get stomped!

On a different note: Coal Grove lost to Fairland Tuesday night 45 - 26. Hornets showed much improvement from the last time they played the Dragons. Coal Grove led 9-4 after the first qtr. The win clinched the OVC for Fairland. Congratulations to their coaches and staff. One of the best 8th grade teams I have seen in many years.

Tonight Coal Grove defeated Rock Hill 55-19. Improved their OVC Record to 7-2 and an overall record to 11-3. Good luck in tournament boys.

West improved there record to 7-3 with a win last night over South Webster. Last 2 games next week then tourny starts on Saturday.
