For god sake!!!! Trimble is 14-0, they were supposed to get beat in week 12,13, and 14 (according to most folks on here)......They went out and took care of business. Trimble has 2 Co players of the year in all oolf D7! They have one of the top defenses in the entire state and still they get no respect. Not from the rest of the state but they get no respect from the folks always crying that SE Ohio gets no respect.........Get behind these boys or get left behind, either way these boys will give ML one heck of a game, and who knows Marion Local may even win.....

GO CATS!!
GO TVC!!
I agree O&B.

Trimble you have the heart, and the dreams of being a champion. If you believe you can do it then your dreams can come true. The task is tough but we believe in you all of south east ohio does, don't let anyone tell you different.Champions have heart and pride and you have both.My family and I will be their pulling for you as we have all year.Just remember small town, big dreams, big hearts makes you all brothers and champions for life no one can take that away from you will or lose.My heart tells me you can do it one more time.tomcat pride and south east ohio will be their in the stands cheering you on one more time.Good luck and leave it all on the field sat. night.

I never thought for a second this season that it wouldn't be a team from the MAC playing for a state title.

Yes, Coldwater is playing for one, but I know most Ohio football fans had Marion Local penciled in for a D-VII title.

In all my years I NEVER thought a team from Athens County would be playing for a state championship in football.

Good luck Trimble. Don't lay an egg like Shadyside did a couple years ago when the Tigers lost 77-6.

I'll be watching on STO, but I think Marion Local wins this one.

They will not lay a egg I am sure of that.Believe it or not for the first time they match up size wise with another play off team since week 11.week 12,13,14 25 to 50 pounds per man bigger up front. They have 1 man 290 we have 1 man 280 everyone else pretty much same size we may even be 10 to 20 pounds bigger up front. Its sure a lot easier to block a man your size than trying to block a truck like it was last 3 weeks.they will be ready

There's going to be an awfully lot of crow being served up Saturday night around 10:30. Sure hope the Trimble fans are classy enough to acknowledge they were wrong after this debacle concludes but I have my doubts. This game will be ugly, like 59-6 ugly.

I hope Trimble wins and I hope I'm wrong but my prediction is:

Trimble - 7

Have you even seen Trimbles defense play? Trimble may lose but, they are not going to give up 49 points.

Did everyone forget we have 8 shutouts and giving up and average of 6 points a game. I love how everyone is predicting 40-50 points scored on us. Yes they are the 2 time defending state champs. Yes they are very good but i also think we have a pretty good team also. I think alot of people are going to be shocked after this game and if it is a blow out feel free to come back on here and say i told you so. They know who we are just like we know who they are just like on STO preview last night we traded film with marion local last yr of the newark catholic game and there coach has watched us all season knowing from what he saw last year we had the whole team back. Win or loose this story has a making to be a movie someday. Proud of everyone of those players and coaches and congrats to all the Tomcats were all state and players of the year

Might be a weather effected game cold and plenty of snow! Which team will benefit and be able to deal with the conditions? Will have my end of week pick in the morning!

Bad weather always helps the underdog. In this battle of TVC vs the MAC it is hard not to choose Marion Local. My heart remains with the Tomcats.

Trimble may win this game, or they may lose. No matter the outcome, nor the score, one thing for sure is that "The Oaf" will not be strapping up a chin strap and stepping on the field. Nor will "The Oaf" be coaching Saturday night. So "The Oaf" can make whatever prediction he wants but deep down he knows he is jealous to not be a part of something this great. In the 2000 championship game I watched Mogadore get beaten by Marion Local 54 -0. Some Mogadore fans around us were ripping their coach, and I told them I would trade places with him in a second. We all know "The Oaf" would trade places with anyone who has a part in this game in second as well. So as far as eating crow, no matter if they do or they don't ole Oaf would like to be a part of it on either end.

Just to add a little perspective for what you are up against....it has been said that it is harder to win the MAC from which Marion Local comes than a state title....evidence to back it up:
D6
2012-Marion Local champs, Delphos semi-finalist
2011-Marion Local champs, Delphos semi-finalist
2010-Delphos champs (beat shadyside 77-6)
2009-Delphos runners up (beat ML in ot in semi, ML was 8-6 that season)
2008 Delphos champs
2006-Marion Local champs
2005 Delphos champs
2003-Marion Local runners up
2001-Marion local champs
2000-Marion local champs, DSJ semis
1999-DSJ champs, ML semis
1998-Delphos champs
1997-Delphos champs
1996-St. Henry runners up
1995 St. Henry champs
1994-St. Henry champs, DSJ semis

D5
2012-Coldwater semis
2011-Coldwater runners up
2010-Coldwater runners up
2009-Coldwater runners up
2008-Marion Local champs
2007-Marion Local champs

1988-Minster runners up
1987-Delphos semis
1986-St. Henry semis

1990-Versailles champs
1989-Versailles runners up
1988-Versailles runners up

*In this time Anna high school has been a power and never made a final four out of the league as well. Multiple times their losses have come to each other in the playoffs/final four and usually they are the only close games they have. That league is unbelievable.

Maybe they should just cancel the game and everyone head to BW3's and watch the Ohio State game then?

Anything can happen during an athletic event - that's what makes sports so great ... GO 'CATS!!!
