Guessing you're just trying to give some bulletin board material, everyone knew exactly what NY had coming back and believed that NY would be better this year compared to last year. NY comes in as the favorite in this game, as Waverly has struggled with the pass and they're making the trip to NY. Waverly will slow down or stop the running game as they have so far this year, it's the back end that has to come to play in order for Waverly to pull off the win. They're starting a freshman at corner who has been picked on at times. This game for as high scoring as it could be is going to flat out come down to line play. Can Waverly create holes for Kritz and hold off the pass rush to hit the quick Wrs they have?? For NY can they create just enough running space to keep waverly honest?? If not can Waverly get pressure on the QB without having to use the blitz every down and end up leaving the corners on an island. I said couple weeks ago Waverly was a 2-3 loss team after seeing them against ZT, predicted this would be one of their losses going to stick with that and NY winning in a close one. Both teams come to play and this could be a shoot out and probably game of the week honors. Good Luck to both teams as plenty on the line here moving forward.Orange and Brown wrote: ↑Sat Sep 16, 2017 6:06 pm Waverly fans will tell you they are the favorites in this one and likewise for the Buckeye faithful.
The one thing I do know is that our boys love being the underdog. They love going out and proving themselves week in and week out.
A lot of people didn't think the Buckeyes would be very good this year. I knew what we had coming back and spent the off-season laughing quietly at the folks who said we wouldn't be able to compete for a league title this year.

Athens may question that statement. But to each his own.ArmChairQB wrote: ↑Sat Sep 16, 2017 7:53 pm Waverly should be the favorite. D4 vs. D6 with a tougher schedule. Waverly will be the best team NY faces in the regular season.

Not sure what d4 vs d6 means to this one.. Both teams great the division will not mean anything in this game..ArmChairQB wrote: ↑Sat Sep 16, 2017 7:53 pm Waverly should be the favorite. D4 vs. D6 with a tougher schedule. Waverly will be the best team NY faces in the regular season.

By this analogy, Meigs should always be the favorite against NY......X8XOHIOLEGENDX7X wrote: ↑Sun Sep 17, 2017 12:16 pmNot sure what d4 vs d6 means to this one.. If Meg's played NY. Had the same record and a tougher schedule, then yes Meigs would be favored.Orange and Brown wrote: ↑Sun Sep 17, 2017 12:24 pmBy this analogy, Meigs should always be the favorite against NY......X8XOHIOLEGENDX7X wrote: ↑Sun Sep 17, 2017 12:16 pmNot sure what d4 vs d6 means to this one.. ArmchairQB is way off don't listen to him. Tiger 2000 YES the field is at the High School directly behind it you can't miss it. The field in town near McDonalds hasn't hosted a high school game since 1980 LOL. Coming from Athens you be on 33 and exit St. Rt. 78 Nelsonville-Buchtel and keep right heading to Buchtel.

Re: Waverly (4-0) @ Nelsonville-York (4-0)
THIS is the game of the week.
Waverly's first four opponents have a combined record of 8-8. Nelsonville's first four opponents have a combined record of 7-9.
Waverly has scored 149 points and given up 87. Nelsonville has scored 141 points and given up 54. You can't get a whole lot closer than that. With the game being played at Nelsonville; I think it's fair to say Waverly is the underdog. Should be good game. Hoping Waverly brings a good crowd. Go Tigers!
One question. Is there a track around the field? And if someone would give us an address to put in the GPS that would be much appreciated.

I'm pretty sure if you ask Rusty he'll tell you he not a "Trimble coach." Doubt if he even says he's from Trimble. He's an NY Buckeye through and through. You are correct that he "knows something about football" though, and he proves that each year when he hands Uncle Phil his hind side. So the only thing Trimble about Rusty is that he owns them, and the new field should be named after him instead of The Gambler.
NY will handle Waverly in this one. The Tigers haven't seen speed like what they are about to come up against. It could get ugly.
FEAR the little Big 3!
