When I saw how MF struggled with a mediocre Westfall team II figured the Burg would win by about 20, but never saw this coming. That was one of those take you out back of the woodshed and give you a spanking kind of games.

Burg's offense was clicking tonight and it seemed like all of the wind went out of MF's sail when they fumbled on the 3 yard line going for the tie and then Burg went 98 yards to go up 14. After that the blowout was on.

I just want to say Congrats to the Martins ferry purple Riders for a great season and I hope we meet up again next year!! Both teams have a few good seniors leaving the program but they both have a lot of atheletes coming back! Good luck to the Riders!

I agree with demaniac's post above. Congrats to the purple riders on their season. Burg was just ready for this one and executed better on all phases of the game. This was a good venue as far as driving and concessions, but I agree it was a little cramped. Wherever the game is next week, I'm sure Burg will pack the visitor side again. If I heard correctly, EMIII had over 200 yards passing and 100 yards rushing....in the first half. The announcer was very good, but why no pregame music?

WOW!!! What can you say about the performance of the Pirates tonight on both sides of the ball. The offense was on fire, scoring the first TD in one minute and 18 seconds. After that, the rout was on. Martins Ferry only had one serious drive the entire night and that was after the Burg threw an INT on the 2nd possession and they made it inside the 5 before fumbling. After that, they never made inside the 20 again the entire game. The defense was physical and really swarmed to the ball. The offense was just clicking tonight. The running game worked, the passing game worked and they pretty much did whatever they wanted. Very impressive!!

Anyone have the yardage for the game? I know at the half Eddies had 119 yards rushing and both Dylan and Tyler had over 100 receiving. The Burg had to have around 500 yards for the game.

I want to say congrats to Martins Ferry on a very successful season. I feel bad for the kids though since their fans sat in total silence the entire game and never really cheered for anything they did. This game is for the kids and win or lose you need to support them. I give the MF fans a D- for their performance tonight.

I'd also like to give a big BOOOOOOOOOOO to the Walnut Hill Church that blocked off the road and forced us into their parking lot and charged $5 to park while the school was only charging $2. Just another reason on my long list of why I don't like or attend church. Very MORAL of you rip people off!!

First I want to say congrats to the purple riders on a excellent season. Them boys played their hearts out. They just couldn't muster anything against the burg defense and their defense had nothin for the ground and air attack of EM III and company. To their seniors I want to say good luck in w/e u guys do in the future.
