I have Nate at 146 carries for 1,138 yards and 18 TD's. Looks like those numbers are missing possibly the Northwest game.nutronron2012 wrote:I noticed these stats for Nate Arnett on another site. They sound right.
133 carries 1,016 yards 15 tds (7.6yds per carry)
I am not going to post all the stats because I know a couple of local newspapers are going to run them in their lead up stories this week. But here are a few little facts about our Indians. Some of these are well know and some are not.
We are riding a 30 game regular season win streak.
The Senior class is 42-4 in their careers. The 42 wins are a school record and no team has beat them twice. They will play in their school record 47th game on Friday.
The Valley Defense has allowed 48 first half points this season.
The starting Valley defense has allowed 78 points on the year.
The Indians are scoring 39.6 Points per game.
12 Different players have scored TD's
They have 3 pick 6's and Sophomore QB Bryan Rolfe has only thrown 3 picks.
Sophomore Kicker Brice Romanello is 47-53 on PAT's
Junior Fullback Alex Loop is averaging 12.08 yards per carry and that is 2nd on the team.
Valley has never lost a home playoff game in Valley Indian Stadium (3-0).
Head Coach Darren Crabtree is 188-66 in his career with 11 League Titles, 8 undefeated seasons, and 8 playoff appearances (7-7). The current 30 game regular season win streak is not the longest in his coaching career. (41 games).
Valley's 25.8 Computer points would have given them a home game in 3 of the 4 regions in Division 2.
I could rattle on forever, but I won't. I think this Valley team is on a mission and the small offensive line of Fort Frye will have a long night on Friday. Obviously, with a player the caliber of Lang, FF has more than a puncher's chance. I just think Valley is big, strong, athletic, and experienced. Looking at the Cadet's facilities, I think they will love their surroundings at our place. It is a great place to play and a great place for a playoff game. Should be fun Friday night.

Best of luck to fellow Washington County school Fort Frye.
Hope the Cadets pull off the upset but they will need more than Lang to win this one.
Valley by 21+
Good luck and good health to both teams.
LETS GO CADETS!!!

Good luck to Valley! All I can say for Fort Frye is that they better hope their running back (5'7", 139 lbs) is REALLY fast because their small O-line will struggle to block the likes of Dunn and the Miller boys.

Yeah, that's about what I came to say.vctransplant wrote:Valley runs away with it. Congrats to Fort Frye on getting to week 11.

From watching the youtube video of Lang and the Cadets, a lot of the passing plays had me scratching my head wondering where the defense was. It was tough to tell if the competition was that weak or if tge Cadets were just that much better. It could also be a combination of both. Lang looked like he had decent speed, and appeared to run the ball hard. You could see what's been posted about the undersized line. I think Lang was even more impressive on the defensive side of the ball than offensively. Obviously though, his offensive numbers are impressive and he's a talented football player.
I hope to see Valley come out physical and assert their will on the Cadets from the very beginning. Its no secret when you're a big favorite, you don't want to allow your opponent to hang around and have a chance late. One play, one series, one quarter, one game at a time and the results will be taken care of.

Good Looking QB....Valley will get pressure on him though, forcing some bad throws.

Thanks! I'm definitely looking forward to the game, and looking forward to seeing Lang play in person. He seems like a solid all-around player.J8fusl wrote:Also note that film is from last year...Jesco White wrote:From watching the youtube video of Lang and the Cadets, a lot of the passing plays had me scratching my head wondering where the defense was. Re: Week 11: #8 Fort Frye (8-2) @ #1 Lucasville Valley (10-0
I am not one to thump my chest and pick on smaller and weaker people nor do I get enjoyment in getting on here and saying Valley will beat them by 80. But Valley is loaded this year and made it to week 13 last year with almost everyone back with 20 some seniors I think they can get to week 14 this year as long as they stay within their game plan and throw just enough to keep people honest and feed Arnett the ball 20-30 times a week and it will be a fun ride to watch. I like Valley by 20-30 with backups in early in the 2nd half to close it out. I do have a question tho a friend of mine asked me if Arnett had moved to valley from the west side a few years ago so does anyone know the answer to that?
