But Valley is loaded this year and made it to week 13 last year with almost everyone back with 20 some seniors I think they can get to week 14 this year as long as they stay within their game plan and throw just enough to keep people honest and feed Arnett the ball 20-30 times a week and it will be a fun ride to watch. I like Valley by 20-30 with backups in early in the 2nd half to close it out. I do have a question tho a friend of mine asked me if Arnett had moved to valley from the west side a few years ago so does anyone know the answer to that?
Nate came to Valley in grade school from northwest .. ..wanna say 4th grade

The only connection between West/Arnett would be that his father was a West Grad several decades ago!

Fort Frye has made the playoffs 2 yrs in a row I'm not saying they will win (actually think they lose by 20 or so) but I feel they are not getting much respect. Valley must be monsters.

Are you really surprised by that? They're 10-0 playing against the likes of Wheelersburg and Minford. Fort Frye has played 2 teams with winning records and lost to both. No disrespect intended by that comment, but I feel like they have a right to be confident in this game. Valley's size alone will probably win this game for them, as you even pointed out with Fort Frye's lack of interior size. Don't get me wrong, Fort Frye had a great season. I have a ton of respect for Coach Huck and Lang is a hell of a player, but I expect this to be kind of like last year's game against Kirtland. Something in the 40 something to 7 or 14 range.

I wouldn't respect FF either if I was them. Even of we have a 4 point lead with 3 mins to go they could line up and run it down our throats for the win. And that's the truth. Last years FF team would be 20 point favorites against this years FF team.

And I don't see where they are disrespectful. Your always going to have one or two guys with harsh opinions but this is a forum, get used to it or start a blog.

I can tell you the Valley players, coaches, etc RESPECT FF. And I respect any team we play, however....

Valley is on a run that is rare around SEO. The Indians have won 34 of their last 36 games (including playoffs) and have went 10-0 the last 3 seasons, many of us feel like this is the BEST overall team of the last 3, and those two lost D-5 Regional title games (1 in OT).

I dont think it's a lack of respect from people, I think its the fact that Valley is REALLY good.

been doing some reading about Chandler Lang in the Marietta Times .... Very solid stats this year and last... Still hard to believe there is not a full roster to be found even in the paper ...and Here i thought you could find everything on the NET

hoping for a good and injury free game from both teams and cant wait to show Fort Frye our great facilities and sportsmanship . These young men will remember these playoff games win or lose and who they played with for a long time on both sides. Making the playoffs is what starts football programs on the road to continued success as is the case of FF making them 2 yrs now and Fort Frye will play as hard as they can just as Valley will and as they say LEAVE IT ALL ON THE FIELD .

Thats how it has happened here .. We have had the luxury of having some outstanding players over the last 4yrs in all sports both boys and girls athletics have enjoyed success with multiple conference titles . But what also stands out with our football program is the overall intelligence of the players that have gone through here in the last 4 yrs ....on the field and more importantly in class ... All of these boys play multiple sports too

Fort Frye will make this a game for a little while. They are good enough to make the playoffs so they deserve the recognition. Valley is a defensive beast though and will eventually wear out the Cadets. Look for it close until the 3rd and 4th Qtr. Valley moves on with a 42-21 victory. Man I hate to say this, In fact I just threw up. Congrats to the Indians on third SOC title. Good luck and represent the SOC well!

It's going to take a lot more than one solid athlete to beat this Valley team as I'm sure your aware. :122245

Valley moves on to Rd. 2 with a huge playoff win at home.

Fort Frye making the playoffs two years in a row as a team that probably didn't win 10 games between 2000 and 2009 is a great turnaround for the school. Coach Huck and the players deserve a lot of credit for all their work in restoring our football program to respectability. Hopefully, their success will feed itself and lead to bigger things down the road. That said, they only played two playoff teams this season and lost to both of them. Let's hope they learn from those losses and see what it takes to make that next step as a program in the future.

That is a huge accomplishment and should be very helpful to that program and get more kids interested.
