Wow I didn't expect that at The Nest. Who did the scoring for Belpre?

Game was never close after 1. Belpre actually lead 14-12 after 1 but was out scored 28-6 in 2nd and game was never close again. Big bad Nick was never a factor with 2 in 1st half. Like I said FF was 2 talented for Golden Eagles. Lil Anderson was a beast tonight bright future in Beverly.

Now in all fairness to Therriut, Belpre's gameplan wasn't the best I've ever seen. When you have 10 differnt kids taking multiple shots really how many does that leave for Nick. The coaching staff has to find a way to ride their horse. Also trying to "outrun" the Cadets was a mistake. Very rarely did the up tempo game play to Belpre's favor. They were outta control and didn't finish when they even got an opportunity.EasternDspy wrote:Game was never close after 1. No doubt that Belpre has talent. Maybe too much. Very few teams can rotate 10 players effectively. As talented as Northland and Akrn St V were at last years state tournament, they rotated 7-8 players. Even with that they had 3 kids taking the shots. Last night The Fort pretty much had 3 kids shooting the ball. They had a plan of attack and they executed it with perfection.
Belpre will beat some people for sure. That 14-12 1st quarter score was indicative of what this team is capable of. Several defensive breakdowns gave the Cadets easy baskets but that's an easy fix. Give the Belore coaching staff a chance. They were all talented players and that know the game. They will get it figured out.

... with 28 points in the 2nd and an 80 spot on the scoreboard FF HAD TO have had MANY transition opportunities ... great start for the Cadets for sure ...

Fort Frye shot 50 % from deep and 62 percent from the field.
