Athens looks to hold on to the Doc Kroner Trophy, after clinching at-least a share of the TVC-OHIO crown with the win over Meigs last Friday...
A young NY Bucks squad will need a perfect game to knock off the Bulldogs...
Always exciting when these two teams meet!
Week 10 is already here...crazy.

Re: BULLDOGS VS BUCKEYES WEEK10.....
Week 10 is here, which means Buckeyes vs. Bulldogs. This rivalry goes back to the beginning of organized high school sports. The Nelsonville Greyhounds played the original, pre-consolidated Athens Bulldogs, Chauncey-Dover Blue Devils and The Plains Indians every year through the 1966 football season. The Greyhounds only had two non-SEOAL rivals: Chauncey-Dover and The Plains. The current Nelsonville-York Buckeyes and Athens Bulldogs each consolidated into their present versions in 1967 and the rivalry has lived on, minus the 13 year period between the '70 and '82 seasons. Since consolidation, this will be the 34th meeting between the Buckeyes and Bulldogs and Nelsonville-York leads the all-time series 20 wins to 13 losses.

Re: BULLDOGS VS BUCKEYES WEEK10.....
Locos, do you have the scores of all the Greyhounds SEOAL games? If so, can you email me that so I can add with my stats? I'm assuming you probably don't have non-SEOAL scores like Nelsonville vs. Chauncey-Dover or The Plains, but if you did have that by some stroke of luck could you email that too?

Re: BULLDOGS VS BUCKEYES WEEK10.....
PM me your email address. Might take me a little while to put it all together. I may have a few full seasons, but definitely have all of their SEOAL results.
Re: BULLDOGS VS BUCKEYES WEEK10.....
The only way I see NY having any chance at all.
Buck up and eat the clock ..just maybe by the grace of God
the bucks learn a valuable experience and not get pummeled to death ..all I can say anything
can happen ..buckeye pride ..we will be back.

Re: BULLDOGS VS BUCKEYES WEEK10.....
Athens im guessing has almost all the wins. Nelsonville was in the league for 40 years with 43 winsSpartan wrote:Do you know the scores from 1955 and also from 1956 between The Greyhounds and Athens High?

but this will be a killing. I would say 70 pts for Athens
Re: BULLDOGS VS BUCKEYES WEEK10.....
Not even close.....Bulldogs will crush Nelsonville by 50+. Oh yeh let's not forget that this should be expected because if you read the post from Nelsonville people They will tell you that Nelsonville is full of freshman. Meigs and Athens have the TVC Ohio locked up for the next couple of years.
Re: BULLDOGS VS BUCKEYES WEEK10.....
Guy's let's be real, as my friend moon says, the bullpuppies will walk all over NY and stomp on them by 70!

Re: BULLDOGS VS BUCKEYES WEEK10.....
As I predicted he would, Davey found a way to win last week. I wont predict that happening this week, but I will predict that Buckeye opponents next year better be prepared for what is coming. Last Friday the 3 headed monster was unleashed for the first time, and all three are freshmen. So look out future, here come the Bucks! With a smile on their faces as they run over you. :122245

Re: BULLDOGS VS BUCKEYES WEEK10.....
I think all the NELSONVILLE YORK fans need to wake up and quit trying to use the excuse that all these freshman are on the field. I am being told they only start 2 freshmen and play about 5 or 6. That sounds about like every other team in the area and I don't here them complaining. Lets face it the Buckeyes will be down for a while.Ground Buck wrote:As I predicted he would, Davey found a way to win last week. Don't forget that neither Athens of Meigs will be doing much rebuilding next year either. The future is bright for N-Y and next year will provide more wins than this season for sure but I'm not convinced they can truly contend next season.Ground Buck wrote:As I predicted he would, Davey found a way to win last week.
