Difference in this one was the big fellas up front. They don't ever get any pub but how about a big shout out to
Austin Pleasants
Jacob pierce
Logan berry
Cody Willis
David Abrams
I feel like I'm forgetting 2 or 3 but man they turned it up a notch tonight. Nothing short of deep into the playoffs next season, men!

And of course I left two out - ol' Ike Pennington and Jeff Smith. Great work by the entire Hornet line!

Re: Coal Grove (4-5) @ South Point (7-2)
and for Grove fans here is something to think about, how much does the playing all four quarters matter in the first game of the season? A two point loss to Meigs is what kept us out of the playoffs. If, and that is the word IF, if Coal Grove wins their first game of the year and the rest of the season plays out as it did the Grove ends with 12.05 point average which would have placed them 8th in Region 21. So to all those that say week one is to early to be thinking about playoffs,,,,,,think again.

well said!!
I had them going 7-3 prior to game 1 had that meigs , raceland games been at bottom of schedule things may be different cause the grove definitely finished strong!!
I sure hope we get this open date fixed for next year cause that 1 less game could be a difference in making playoffs
