No ... Open enrollment .... For which the state changed the rules last year ...whole other can of worms ....lol
Re: Valley (9-0) @ Minford (7-2)
This years Sr class for Valley went undefeated in Jr. High, didn't they? Last years class wasn't supposed to win the SOCII, but did go 10-0 and that's not easy. How many of this years class started on last years team? Point being, if you put 3 Jr. high classes together that haven't won a game, more than likely they're not going to be successful. I realize kids do change in 4 yrs, but other than a few late bloomers, you know who the athletes are and the ones that are not. As we saw last year, you can get away with an average class, if you have a strong class below them.

If we're still talking about the 8th grader, dad didn't play anything past JV basketball in high school. As far as him knowing coach Rolfe, he was our Jr High hoops coach in addition to offensive coord. in football and pitching coach in baseball, so we ALL know him. As far as him "talking" to him, I don't consider a parent essentially cornering a man a restaurant and rambling on and on as the coach "recruiting" or "discussing" much of anything other than trying to get back to his OWN FAMILY.B0UNCE wrote:Dad lives in Valley played at Valley and was a good athlete better then average just like his boy. It would be a hit to the program if he did leave not only for is talents but for the number of the football team has in depth.
izladoom, or whatever, I realize you love Valley sports, and I think that's great. With all due respect, you shouldn't talk about crap like this on here. The kid in question is a GREAT kid and a friend of my son's. I've also known his father for more than 20 years, long enough to know that he is his son's biggest problem from a distraction standpoint. I know he loves his son, but he also needs to just let him enjoy being a successful kid. Obviously, it's his kid so it's his choice, but you were out of line to bring the topic here.

Lord I hope so!!!! He's got big hands and feet for a kid who stands 5'4" and weighs 105lbs soaking wet lol He also won't even be 14 until June, so he's got plenty of time still to grow ;)Falconfan09 wrote:I really hope he does grow like he should would help football and basketball lolJesco White wrote:vladimir,

Re: Valley (9-0) @ Minford (7-2)
I don't have a dog in this fight. But I will admit I am a little more than nervous about this game for Valley's sake. As far as rooting for Valley, I'm really not. But I do think it would be a shame if Valley does not finish off the perfect season and 3-peat. I have to give them credit for defending their title on an opponent's new field when a lot of people bet against them. If they win game 10 they will be considered the "Best" but only if they win on the field.
As far as the game, I believe it will be much closer than people think. A lot will depend on Valley's state of mind! Regardless .... Best of luck to both teams.

Re: Valley (9-0) @ Minford (7-2)
Only on rare occasions will this game be decided by more than a td, regardless of records. Will this be one of those years? Valley's "D" looked very good last week, even with the busted plays. From the reading, Minford isn't quite as quick as the Burg. If this is the case, I don't see how the line can create the space for an effective running attack...Time will tell...

Re: Valley (9-0) @ Minford (7-2)
Week after week I read everyone say this is the week Valley goes down. (I said it). But no one appreciates this defense until you see it, not on film, in real time. This is one of the best defenses I have seen in years, probably better than the 08 West defense. Good Luck Minford, like to see you prove me wrong.
Re: Valley (9-0) @ Minford (7-2)
Even if Minford beat West in week 6, this would still be a must win game for Minford to get into the playoffs as they would be sitting in the 9th place instead of 10th n region 14. Minford should have the same mindset that this is their game to get into the playoffs.

3 1/2 hrs till kickoff to end the regular season. Valley makes a statement heading in the playoffs......35-10 VALLEY
Re: Valley (9-0) @ Minford (7-2)
In having just read the Portsmouth Times, I agree with Coach Crabtree. If the Minford team that played Piketon and Portsmouth shows up, this will be a very good ball game.
