I don't think that's what is really being said. Clearly Waverly has improved every week this season, no doubt about it. Maybe Minford was just a little overrated in the preseason and their early schedule provided a little false sense of security. I think this game was just a good game between 2 pretty evenly matched teams. Just my opinion.smurray wrote:Because Minford didn't beat Waverly bad it must have been something to do with Minford being flat or didn't play well. Couldn't have been the effort given by the Tigers. Heard the same thing a week ago from West. Waverly is a few plays away and several injured players away from being 6-3 this year. Even with all the injuries the Tigers have been in all those games with the exception of Jackson, Burg and Valley.
Minford, be glad with escaping the jungle with the win and know you were in a battle against some Tigers with heart. Waverly may not be winning these close games but they are giving it everything they have and leaving it on the field. In most games they are overmatched and outmanned but like I said, they are right there at a possible 6-3 mark. We won't settle for a moral victory next year.
6-2 Minford @ 2-6 Waverly

Re: 6-2 Minford @ 2-6 Waverly
Once again mistakes in the redzone continue to plague this team. One fumble on the 10 and one interception on the 15 left Minford empty handed. Same story every week it seems. Minford rarely plays well in Waverly even the year we won SOC the Falcons only won by 7. The Tigers are improved over last year and should finish the season with a W. Good luck Tigers.
