If Helton is back, Meigs by a bunch. If not, Meigs by a little less. I'm afraid of big time mismatches in the secondary in this one for the Raiders.

The only true mismatch will be Meigs' receivers on RV's secondary. If RV can put pressure on Meigs QB (whomever that may be), RV might be able to make this game come down to the wire. I think both teams are better than what their records indicate.

And that's a shame, cause coming into this 2017 season, RV's secondary was one of its better units. I still believe Dustin Barber is the best CB in the TVC-Ohio.Jason Vorhees wrote: Tue Sep 19, 2017 11:17 am The only true mismatch will be Meigs' receivers on RV's secondary. RV's defense as a whole needs to play a lot better to stay in this game. I think they will.

From what I saw Friday vs. NY..
RV may only win one league game and that's vs. Alex.

Honestly I think it's more Meigs receivers being so athletic than RV getting worse. I think RV can do fine in the trenches against the Meigs line. Skill players will make the difference in this game. Meigs will be much better if they get Helton back as well.RVRaiderFan wrote: Tue Sep 19, 2017 4:23 pmAnd that's a shame, cause coming into this 2017 season, RV's secondary was one of its better units. Best in the conference? Didn't NY set a school record in PASSING against RV!?!? Lol what was it like 350?

Yea you are right. Though, from what I saw Friday night, I think they threw Barber's way only 2-3 times? I'll have to go back and look at our stats.OSU22 wrote: Tue Sep 19, 2017 6:59 pmRVRaiderFan wrote: Tue Sep 19, 2017 4:23 pmAnd that's a shame, cause coming into this 2017 season, RV's secondary was one of its better units. Really thought RV was better than Meigs after watching them at East Shade River Stadium this year. But then they both played Gallia and now I'm not so sure. I'll take RV at home.

You're right it was only 2 times....and of those two passes both went for Touchdowns lol. One he was guarding #11 and whiffed on a tackle after the kid caught it and the second was caught by #5 in the front corner of the endzone....RVRaiderFan wrote: Wed Sep 20, 2017 8:21 amYea you are right. First one I don't believe was against Barber. Second one was a hell of a catch and a perfectly placed ball by Maiden.OSU22 wrote: Wed Sep 20, 2017 11:07 amYou're right it was only 2 times....and of those two passes both went for Touchdowns lol. Re: TVC-Ohio WK5 (2-2, 1-0) Meigs @ (2-2, 0-1) River Valley
The only matter in this game is how many playoff points it will provide for NY and Athens. Obviously RV winning would provide the most first level points, so Athens is surely pulling for them. But the difference is so minimal that it won't matter for NY, so I'm pulling for "NFL" in this one.

Disclaimer: This is all an opinion and I am therefore hoping we can still express opinions on this site without retort.

Give it a rest, shut the hell up about playoff points and talk about the darn game. NY and Athens doesn't have to be mentioned in EVERY topic...We know about the points buddy, take a break and discuss football.Ground Buck wrote: Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:14 am The only matter in this game is how many playoff points it will provide for NY and Athens.
