2-6 Green @ 2-6 Sciotoville
Sciotoville coming off a three game skid and picked up their 2nd win of the season beating St. John 48-21 on the road. Now, they get to finish out the season and their SOC schedule at home! Certainly, Sciotoville can't win the Gold Football in 2013 but, they could play spoiler in Wk. 10!
Green is on a five game losing trend and are going to be looking to end this streak in a bad way. Green was thrashed last week by Notre Dame 64-6! Coincidentally, that last time Green got a win was in Wk. 3 over Sciotoville 41-38; at Franklin Furnace!
Both, teams in dire need of a win for their programs. Both teams need to get their first SOC win!
Prediction: Sciotoville 34 Green 31

Re: Wk.9 Green (2-6/0-2) @ Sciotoville (2-6/0-2)
If the blue team (I'm not sure what your guys' school name is, sorry) needs a game for week 3, have your AD contact Fisher Catholic and see if Fisher is interested, because what used to be the annual week for the Newark Catholic-Fisher Catholic game appears to be up in the air for 2014. From what I understand, there is a mutual agreement that both FC and NC do not want to play each other, but may be faced with having to play each other if other games can not be found.

ManitouDan.. the game between Sciotoville and Notre Dame wont even be close! Notre Dame will be able to put up whatever they fill like this season against Sciotoville. 73 pts. is the most ever scored on East and that was by Notre Dame! ND could break that record if they wanted to this season.

I think Wheelersburg scored more points years and years ago, mabe in the 70sAxe N Shield wrote:ManitouDan.. the game between Sciotoville and Notre Dame wont even be close! ND is strong this year and East is down. I have seen this long enough -- tables could be turned in just a year or two.
Games are the best when the two are evenly matched. It is a great rivalry game!
I hope for a good game and a show of respect by the winners and losers. It is important to know how to win and how to lose.
Darrell Davis showed that a few years ago when he could have scored 80 points on ND and did not. 2nd team was in and ran straight up the middle.
I will be up there on week 10 but for now we have to focus on Symmes and we are down 8 before getting off the bus........
Best of luck against Green -- would liek to see East win to even the series.

I think that I am right about the score ,east had about 16 or so players left at the end of the season and the burg s 1st string played the entire game .could of been the late 60s happen at allard park,we all know who the coaches were.Axe N Shield wrote:No, Burg never scored that many against East! You got to remember that the Burg of today is not the same as Burg of old. Back then Burg was like everybody else in that they primarily run the ball and would eat the clock up. Now, Burg can throw on you on any down and distance. And, are well practiced at this game style.blue boy wrote:I think Wheelersburg scored more points years and years ago, mabe in the 70sAxe N Shield wrote:ManitouDan.. the game between Sciotoville and Notre Dame wont even be close! I believe that if you are a school like East, ND or Green you don't reload you have to rebuild and sometimes that cycle can be 5 or 10 years. You just have to hope you have the right coaching staff to be able to capitalize on the players abilities! A couple of years ago when Todd took over he had some talent left over from Hall and Bond's teams. Now, he has the definitions of their own cultivation! Feeders systems are important; Jr. High, Pee Wee and, neither of these are supported by this coaching staff or school as they are at Burg, Valley, West, Minford, ND, Symmes Valley. These coaches don't go down and instruct or even show interest.

Would that been Fugitt for East and Miller at Burg?

Re: 2-6 Green @ 2-6 Sciotoville
Congratulations to the Tartans for your win over Green! I take my hat off to the young men who have worked hard for a very long time in the weight room, the heat of August and against the disappointment of injuries that left some big holes in the team, yet you stayed in and fought. You fought not just for the a championship but for your own dignity and respect. You have honored yourself, your families and your school. Even though I live out of state and have only been to one game, I follow you closely through the internet and phones calls but just want you as team to know that I respect and pay tribute to you for not giving up. You have one more game so play with all your hearts and let the outcome be what it is. You will be able to hold your head high knowing you did all you could do. I also give kudos to the coaching staff, who have spent countless hours not just coaching football but pouring themselves into the lives of these young men. Thanks for holding a free clinic for the little guys in the summer, taking young men to colleges, for hours of watching film, and enduring the criticism of fans. Thanks to the coach who also coaches the junior high team. Thanks for the sacrifice of time away from your families. You are to be honored and commended.
