Actually bulldog, you are trying to put words in my mouth. What I've said is a reflection of Pasteur's work. In his statewide rankings for D-III, in his Top 15 statewide, he has Marion-Franklin the best rated in the region at #4, DeSales at # 7 and Dover at #12. Not very good for the region as a whole. But if you think Pasteur doesn't have it right , give us your rankings. I agree with Pasteur. I also think Athens is in a whole lot of trouble from a competitive perspective. Their good record isn't indicative of good teams they have played. Its actually quite the opposite.

I can't give a ranking of teams in the state - and neither can anyone else.

Its all speculation.

we'll see what happens next week.

Not hedging. I'm just not an idiot that buys into what a guy and his computer model says.

if I was, I would listen to Danny Sheridan and head to Vegas.

Its all speculation, Paladin. Nobody knows if one team is that much better when they don't play each other and have no common opponents.

Speculation ? Really ? No way to evaluate the schedules played ? Level of competition played ? Comparable abilities ? What match ups will have problems ? So the best teams will win ?

Speculation ?

Saying MF is #4 means nothing ... so why do you even bring it up?

They could play DeSales in week 11 and get beat ... or they could very well find themselves in the title game vs ASVSM.

Like I said, its all speculation ... games are played on the field, period.

I suggest saving your ridicules comments and your Drew Pasteur bogus predictions for after week 11 ... I can promise you there will be upsets all over the state of Ohio and the AP poll, the harbin system, and drew Pasteur will have all been wrong in many cases.

Actually if you look at his percentages of games called correctly he is around 80% most weeks so that is not really many that he is wrong. But I forgot, you watch all the Athens games every week and you write a blog so you know about everything.

This is a really difficult region as everyone has said all year. The 8 seed can win it and the wins may not be considered upsets. Lets let the games be played and see what happens. No matter who Athens they, they will be a VERY good team who could very easily beat them by 20. Athens could also beat them like everyone else they played. We won't know until next week. Lets just enjoy the matchups and see what happens.

Athens has clinched the #1 seed. Dogs will either see Logan Elm or Granville in the first round. If Toledo Waite wins, Dogs get LE. Loss, it is Granville. Desales is OUT.

I assume my check is in the mail? Okay, so I wasn't sure it would take 3OTs, but it WAS at Dover. Big win for Philly who missed the playoffs a couple of years ago at 9-1 I think.

Got to see Granville last year when they played at Jackson. Not sure how much they returned from that team this year, but they were pretty talented.

They have two close losses to a 10-0 and 9-1 team, and a respectable loss to another 9-1 team, so they could be a worthy opponent for Athens.

No disrespect to Logan Elm, but I think that's definitely who Athens would want in Round 1. They seem to be struggling a little bit down the stretch.

LOL ... thanks Locos!!

I also had Maysville, who scored 2 TD's in the last 5 minutes - with the winning TD as time expired.

yep, ol 93Bulldog pretty much cleaned house tonight in the pick em contest on TheSultanofSmack.com.

You don't get to play the little sisters of the poor, I02 ... that's why they call them the playoffs.

Now look, I have already transformed your buddy K.W. into a true 'Dogs fan ... I'm surprised you don't see him running around Jackson with his green and gold Athens gear on ... and now, you're next.
