Valley's defense completely dominated burg...Valley's corners were definitely the MVPs of this game...Burg WR are obviously not used to corners being physical with them...Both teams played a he*l of a game

First things first, congrats to Valley on the win. They had a game plan and they worked it to perfection. Keep the ball away from the Pirates with long sustained drives and the one to open the 2nd half was a killer. Over 8 minutes off the clock and then kick what turned out to be the game winning FG. My hats off to them. Vally just seems to have the Burgs number now.

Now, mistakes, mistakes, mistakes. It killed the Burg all night. A wide open May in the endzone and the ball way to far out in front. Claxon 4 yards behind the BD and the ball is way overthrown. Two missed FG's by a kid who has been consistent at that distance all year(even though he is just a freshman) and the biggest killer the fumble at the end. I told everyone it would be decided by who makes the fewest mistakes and that was Valley. They had two fumbles and got them both back. Other then that they played pretty flawless. Hold you heads up boys. Go out and beat West next week and secure a home playoff game.

Seriously?? Did you see the stats?

Valley
RUSH -52 for 205 yards, 1 TD
PASS - 34 yards
239 yards

Burg
RUSH 22 for 109
PASS 12 for 22 for 218 yards 1 TD
327 yards

They may have won, but they didn't dominate the Burg.

I listened to the game and can tell you it wasnt "domination", but to hold this Burg team to 14 points in 2 years, they ABSOLUTELY slowed them down.

Did you even watch the game?? They just held the #1 team in the state to 7 points with the help of only 1 turnover...HALF of those yards came on 2 big plays (long run by miller and 80 yd TD pass)....remove those 2 plays and Burg is under 200 yards for the game

Valley shutdown Burg. The reason eddie didnt complete those passes was for the fact he had no time. Burg did have some big plays but the valley d made sure tackles. Congrats to valley.they deserve the win.

But you cant "remove those plays" they are apart of the game...two great teams, a great battle. D6 #6 took down D5 #1, support was great, teams fought hard...I'm darn proud of the Indians, but not taking anything away from Burg.

GO INDIANS!

Regardless, still didn't dominate them. Did they slow them down? Yes they did. But they didn't dominate. Burg had 2 wide open receivers that were overthrown, something Eddie hasn't done all year and they missed 2 FG's. It very easily could have been 27-10 Burg, but it wasn't and we will move. Good luck next week against Minford and in region 21.

I wouldnt go that far...If Valley doesnt get the holding call when they got to the 1...Valley woulda led 17-7 in the 2nd half..Im not gonna take anything away from these teams.
